تَبَّتْ

لَهَبٍۢ
lahabinLahab
وَتَبَّ
watabbaand perish he

(1)
May the hands of Abū Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.

مَآ
māNot
أَغْنَىٰ
aghnā(will) avail
عَنْهُ
ʿanhuhim
مَالُهُۥ
māluhuhis wealth
وَمَا
wamāand what
كَسَبَ
kasabahe earned

(2)
His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.

سَيَصْلَىٰ
sayaṣlāHe will be burnt
نَارًۭا
nāran(in) a Fire
ذَاتَ
dhātaof
لَهَبٍۢ
lahabinBlazing Flames

(3)
He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame

وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ
wa-im'ra-atuhuAnd his wife
حَمَّالَةَ
ḥammālata(the) carrier
ٱلْحَطَبِ
l-ḥaṭabi(of) firewood

(4)
And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.

جِيدِهَا
jīdihāher neck
حَبْلٌۭ
ḥablun(will be) a rope
مِّن
minof
مَّسَدٍۭ
masadinpalm-fiber

(5)
Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.
