تَبَارَكَtabārakaBlessed is He
ٱلَّذِىalladhīWho
نَزَّلَnazzalasent down
ٱلْفُرْقَانَl-fur'qānathe Criterion
عَلَىٰʿalāupon
عَبْدِهِۦʿabdihiHis slave
لِيَكُونَliyakūnathat he may be
لِلْعَـٰلَمِينَlil'ʿālamīnato the worlds
نَذِيرًاnadhīrana warner
١(1)
Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner -
Juz 18Page 359
ٱلَّذِىalladhīThe One Who
لَهُۥlahuto Him (belongs)
مُلْكُmul'ku(the) dominion
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti(of) the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earth
وَلَمْwalamand not
يَتَّخِذْyattakhidhHe has taken
وَلَدًۭاwaladana son
وَلَمْwalamand not
يَكُنyakunHe has
لَّهُۥlahufor Him
شَرِيكٌۭsharīkuna partner
فِىfīin
ٱلْمُلْكِl-mul'kithe dominion
وَخَلَقَwakhalaqaand He (has) created
كُلَّkullaevery
شَىْءٍۢshayinthing
فَقَدَّرَهُۥfaqaddarahuand determined it
تَقْدِيرًۭاtaqdīran(with) determination
٢(2)
He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination.

وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟wa-ittakhadhūYet they have taken
مِنminbesides Him
دُونِهِۦٓdūnihibesides Him
ءَالِهَةًۭālihatangods
لَّاlānot
يَخْلُقُونَyakhluqūnathey create
شَيْـًۭٔاshayananything
وَهُمْwahumwhile they
يُخْلَقُونَyukh'laqūnaare created
وَلَاwalāand not
يَمْلِكُونَyamlikūnathey possess
لِأَنفُسِهِمْli-anfusihimfor themselves
ضَرًّۭاḍarranany harm
وَلَاwalāand not
نَفْعًۭاnafʿanany benefit
وَلَاwalāand not
يَمْلِكُونَyamlikūnathey control
مَوْتًۭاmawtandeath
وَلَاwalāand not
حَيَوٰةًۭḥayatanlife
وَلَاwalāand not
نُشُورًۭاnushūranresurrection
٣(3)
But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection.

وَقَالَwaqālaAnd say
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
كَفَرُوٓا۟kafarūdisbelieve
إِنْinNot
هَـٰذَآhādhāthis
إِلَّآillā(is) but
إِفْكٌif'kuna lie
ٱفْتَرَىٰهُif'tarāhuhe invented it
وَأَعَانَهُۥwa-aʿānahuand helped him
عَلَيْهِʿalayhiat it
قَوْمٌqawmunpeople
ءَاخَرُونَ ۖākharūnaother
فَقَدْfaqadBut verily
جَآءُوjāūthey (have) produced
ظُلْمًۭاẓul'manan injustice
وَزُورًۭاwazūranand a lie
٤(4)
And those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur’ān] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it." But they have committed an injustice and a lie.
Juz 18Page 360
وَقَالُوٓا۟waqālūAnd they say
أَسَـٰطِيرُasāṭīruTales
ٱلْأَوَّلِينَl-awalīna(of) the former people
ٱكْتَتَبَهَاik'tatabahāwhich he has had written
فَهِىَfahiyaand they
تُمْلَىٰtum'lāare dictated
عَلَيْهِʿalayhito him
بُكْرَةًۭbuk'ratanmorning
وَأَصِيلًۭاwa-aṣīlanand evening
٥(5)
And they say, "Legends of the former peoples which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon."

قُلْqulSay
أَنزَلَهُanzalahuHas sent it down
ٱلَّذِىalladhīthe One Who
يَعْلَمُyaʿlamuknows
ٱلسِّرَّl-sirathe secret
فِىfīin
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚwal-arḍiand the earth
إِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed, He
كَانَkānais
غَفُورًۭاghafūranOft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمًۭاraḥīmanMost Merciful
٦(6)
Say, [O Muḥammad], "It has been revealed by He who knows [every] secret within the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving and Merciful."

وَقَالُوا۟waqālūAnd they say
مَالِmāliWhy does
هَـٰذَاhādhāthis
ٱلرَّسُولِl-rasūliMessenger
يَأْكُلُyakulueat
ٱلطَّعَامَl-ṭaʿāma[the] food
وَيَمْشِىwayamshīand walk
فِىfīin
ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۙl-aswāqithe markets
لَوْلَآlawlāWhy not
أُنزِلَunzilais sent down
إِلَيْهِilayhito him
مَلَكٌۭmalakunan Angel
فَيَكُونَfayakūnathen he be
مَعَهُۥmaʿahuwith him
نَذِيرًاnadhīrana warner
٧(7)
And they say, "What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was there not sent down to him an angel so he would be with him a warner?

أَوْawOr
يُلْقَىٰٓyul'qāis delivered
إِلَيْهِilayhito him
كَنزٌkanzuna treasure
أَوْawor
تَكُونُtakūnuis
لَهُۥlahufor him
جَنَّةٌۭjannatuna garden
يَأْكُلُyakuluhe may eat
مِنْهَا ۚmin'hāfrom it
وَقَالَwaqālaAnd say
ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَl-ẓālimūnathe wrongdoers
إِنinNot
تَتَّبِعُونَtattabiʿūnayou follow
إِلَّاillābut
رَجُلًۭاrajulana man
مَّسْحُورًاmasḥūranbewitched
٨(8)
Or [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats?" And the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic."

ٱنظُرْunẓurSee
كَيْفَkayfahow
ضَرَبُوا۟ḍarabūthey set forth
لَكَlakafor you
ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَl-amthālathe similitudes
فَضَلُّوا۟faḍallūbut they have gone astray
فَلَاfalāso not
يَسْتَطِيعُونَyastaṭīʿūnathey are able (to find)
سَبِيلًۭاsabīlana way
٩(9)
Look how they strike for you comparisons; but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way.

تَبَارَكَtabārakaBlessed is He
ٱلَّذِىٓalladhīWho
إِنinif
شَآءَshāaHe willed
جَعَلَjaʿala(could have) made
لَكَlakafor you
خَيْرًۭاkhayranbetter
مِّنminthan
ذَٰلِكَdhālikathat
جَنَّـٰتٍۢjannātingardens
تَجْرِىtajrīflow
مِنminfrom
تَحْتِهَاtaḥtihāunderneath it
ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُl-anhāruthe rivers
وَيَجْعَلwayajʿaland He (could) make
لَّكَlakafor you
قُصُورًۢاquṣūranpalaces
١٠(10)
Blessed is He who, if He willed, could have made for you [something] better than that - gardens beneath which rivers flow - and could make for you palaces.

بَلْbalNay
كَذَّبُوا۟kadhabūthey deny
بِٱلسَّاعَةِ ۖbil-sāʿatithe Hour
وَأَعْتَدْنَاwa-aʿtadnāand We have prepared
لِمَنlimanfor (those) who
كَذَّبَkadhabadeny
بِٱلسَّاعَةِbil-sāʿatithe Hour
سَعِيرًاsaʿīrana Blazing Fire
١١(11)
But they have denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blaze.

إِذَاidhāWhen
رَأَتْهُمra-athumit sees them
مِّنminfrom
مَّكَانٍۭmakānina place
بَعِيدٍۢbaʿīdinfar
سَمِعُوا۟samiʿūthey will hear
لَهَاlahāits
تَغَيُّظًۭاtaghayyuẓanraging
وَزَفِيرًۭاwazafīranand roaring
١٢(12)
When it [i.e., the Hellfire] sees them from a distant place, they will hear its fury and roaring.

وَإِذَآwa-idhāAnd when
أُلْقُوا۟ul'qūthey are thrown
مِنْهَاmin'hāthereof
مَكَانًۭاmakānan(in) a place
ضَيِّقًۭاḍayyiqannarrow
مُّقَرَّنِينَmuqarranīnabound in chains
دَعَوْا۟daʿawthey will call
هُنَالِكَhunālikathere
ثُبُورًۭاthubūran(for) destruction
١٣(13)
And when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction.

لَّاlā(Do) not
تَدْعُوا۟tadʿūcall
ٱلْيَوْمَl-yawmathis day
ثُبُورًۭاthubūran(for) destruction
وَٰحِدًۭاwāḥidanone
وَٱدْعُوا۟wa-id'ʿūbut call
ثُبُورًۭاthubūran(for) destructions
كَثِيرًۭاkathīranmany
١٤(14)
[They will be told], "Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction."
Juz 18Page 361
قُلْqulSay
أَذَٰلِكَadhālikaIs that
خَيْرٌkhayrunbetter
أَمْamor
جَنَّةُjannatuGarden
ٱلْخُلْدِl-khul'di(of) Eternity
ٱلَّتِىallatīwhich
وُعِدَwuʿidais promised
ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ ۚl-mutaqūna(to) the righteous
كَانَتْkānatIt will be
لَهُمْlahumfor them
جَزَآءًۭjazāana reward
وَمَصِيرًۭاwamaṣīranand destination
١٥(15)
Say, "Is that better or the Garden of Eternity which is promised to the righteous? It will be for them a reward and destination.

لَّهُمْlahumFor them
فِيهَاfīhātherein
مَاmā(is) whatever
يَشَآءُونَyashāūnathey wish
خَـٰلِدِينَ ۚkhālidīnathey will abide forever
كَانَkānaIt is
عَلَىٰʿalāon
رَبِّكَrabbikayour Lord
وَعْدًۭاwaʿdana promise
مَّسْـُٔولًۭاmasūlanrequested
١٦(16)
For them therein is whatever they wish, [while] abiding eternally. It is ever upon your Lord a promise [worthy to be] requested.
Juz 18Page 361
وَيَوْمَwayawmaAnd (the) Day
يَحْشُرُهُمْyaḥshuruhumHe will gather them
وَمَاwamāand what
يَعْبُدُونَyaʿbudūnathey worship
مِنminbesides Allah
دُونِdūnibesides Allah
ٱللَّهِl-lahibesides Allah
فَيَقُولُfayaqūluand He will say
ءَأَنتُمْa-antumDid you
أَضْلَلْتُمْaḍlaltum[you] mislead
عِبَادِىʿibādīMy slaves
هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِhāulāithese
أَمْamor
هُمْhumthey
ضَلُّوا۟ḍallūwent astray
ٱلسَّبِيلَl-sabīla(from) the way
١٧(17)
And [mention] the Day He will gather them and that which they worship besides Allāh and will say, "Did you mislead these, My servants, or did they [themselves] stray from the way?"
Juz 18Page 361
قَالُوا۟qālūThey say
سُبْحَـٰنَكَsub'ḥānakaGlory be to You
مَاmāNot
كَانَkānait was proper
يَنۢبَغِىyanbaghīit was proper
لَنَآlanāfor us
أَنanthat
نَّتَّخِذَnattakhidhawe take
مِنminbesides You
دُونِكَdūnikabesides You
مِنْminany
أَوْلِيَآءَawliyāaprotectors
وَلَـٰكِنwalākinBut
مَّتَّعْتَهُمْmattaʿtahumYou gave them comforts
وَءَابَآءَهُمْwaābāahumand their forefathers
حَتَّىٰḥattāuntil
نَسُوا۟nasūthey forgot
ٱلذِّكْرَl-dhik'rathe Message
وَكَانُوا۟wakānūand became
قَوْمًۢاqawmana people
بُورًۭاbūranruined
١٨(18)
They will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for us to take besides You any allies [i.e., protectors]. But You provided comforts for them and their fathers until they forgot the message and became a people ruined."
Juz 18Page 361
فَقَدْfaqadSo verily
كَذَّبُوكُمkadhabūkumthey deny you
بِمَاbimāin what
تَقُولُونَtaqūlūnayou say
فَمَاfamāso not
تَسْتَطِيعُونَtastaṭīʿūnayou are able
صَرْفًۭاṣarfan(to) avert
وَلَاwalāand not
نَصْرًۭا ۚnaṣran(to) help
وَمَنwamanAnd whoever
يَظْلِمyaẓlimdoes wrong
مِّنكُمْminkumamong you
نُذِقْهُnudhiq'huWe will make him taste
عَذَابًۭاʿadhābana punishment
كَبِيرًۭاkabīrangreat
١٩(19)
So they will deny you, [disbelievers], in what you say, and you cannot avert [punishment] or [find] help. And whoever commits injustice among you - We will make him taste a great punishment.
Juz 18Page 361
وَمَآwamāAnd not
أَرْسَلْنَاarsalnāWe sent
قَبْلَكَqablakabefore you
مِنَminaany
ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَl-mur'salīnaMessengers
إِلَّآillābut
إِنَّهُمْinnahumindeed, they
لَيَأْكُلُونَlayakulūna[surely] ate
ٱلطَّعَامَl-ṭaʿāmafood
وَيَمْشُونَwayamshūnaand walked
فِىfīin
ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ ۗl-aswāqithe markets
وَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnāAnd We have made
بَعْضَكُمْbaʿḍakumsome of you
لِبَعْضٍۢlibaʿḍinfor others
فِتْنَةًfit'natana trial
أَتَصْبِرُونَ ۗataṣbirūnawill you have patience
وَكَانَwakānaAnd is
رَبُّكَrabbukayour Lord
بَصِيرًۭاbaṣīranAll-Seer
٢٠(20)
And We did not send before you, [O Muḥammad], any of the messengers except that they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you [people] as trial for others - will you have patience? And ever is your Lord, Seeing.
Juz 18Page 361
۞ وَقَالَwaqālaAnd said
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
لَاlā(do) not
يَرْجُونَyarjūnaexpect
لِقَآءَنَاliqāanā(the) meeting with Us
لَوْلَآlawlāWhy not
أُنزِلَunzilaare sent down
عَلَيْنَاʿalaynāto us
ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُl-malāikatuthe Angels
أَوْawor
نَرَىٰnarāwe see
رَبَّنَا ۗrabbanāour Lord
لَقَدِlaqadiIndeed
ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟is'takbarūthey have become arrogant
فِىٓfīwithin
أَنفُسِهِمْanfusihimthemselves
وَعَتَوْwaʿatawand (become) insolent
عُتُوًّۭاʿutuwwan(with) insolence
كَبِيرًۭاkabīrangreat
٢١(21)
And those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Why were not angels sent down to us, or [why] do we [not] see our Lord?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and [become] insolent with great insolence.
Juz 19Page 362
يَوْمَyawma(The) Day
يَرَوْنَyarawnathey see
ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَl-malāikatathe Angels
لَاlāno
بُشْرَىٰbush'rāglad tidings
يَوْمَئِذٍۢyawma-idhin(will be) that Day
لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَlil'muj'rimīnafor the criminals
وَيَقُولُونَwayaqūlūnaand they will say
حِجْرًۭاḥij'ranA partition
مَّحْجُورًۭاmaḥjūranforbidden
٢٢(22)
The day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible."
Juz 19Page 362
وَقَدِمْنَآwaqadim'nāAnd We will proceed
إِلَىٰilāto
مَاmāwhatever
عَمِلُوا۟ʿamilūthey did
مِنْminof
عَمَلٍۢʿamalin(the) deed(s)
فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُfajaʿalnāhuand We will make them
هَبَآءًۭhabāan(as) dust
مَّنثُورًاmanthūrandispersed
٢٣(23)
And We will approach [i.e., regard] what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed.
Juz 19Page 362
أَصْحَـٰبُaṣḥābu(The) companions
ٱلْجَنَّةِl-janati(of) Paradise
يَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Day
خَيْرٌۭkhayrun(will be in) a better
مُّسْتَقَرًّۭاmus'taqarranabode
وَأَحْسَنُwa-aḥsanuand a better
مَقِيلًۭاmaqīlanresting-place
٢٤(24)
The companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place.
Juz 19Page 362
وَيَوْمَwayawmaAnd (the) Day
تَشَقَّقُtashaqqaquwill split open
ٱلسَّمَآءُl-samāuthe heavens
بِٱلْغَمَـٰمِbil-ghamāmiwith the clouds
وَنُزِّلَwanuzzilaand (will be) sent down
ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُl-malāikatuthe Angels
تَنزِيلًاtanzīlandescending
٢٥(25)
And [mention] the Day when the heaven will split open with [emerging] clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent.
Juz 19Page 362
ٱلْمُلْكُal-mul'kuThe Sovereignty
يَوْمَئِذٍyawma-idhinthat Day
ٱلْحَقُّl-ḥaqu(will be) truly
لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۚlilrraḥmānifor the Most Gracious
وَكَانَwakānaAnd (it will) be
يَوْمًاyawmana Day
عَلَىʿalāfor
ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَl-kāfirīnathe disbelievers
عَسِيرًۭاʿasīrandifficult
٢٦(26)
True sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day.
Juz 19Page 362
وَيَوْمَwayawmaAnd (the) Day
يَعَضُّyaʿaḍḍuwill bite
ٱلظَّالِمُl-ẓālimuthe wrongdoer
عَلَىٰʿalā[on]
يَدَيْهِyadayhihis hands
يَقُولُyaqūluhe will say
يَـٰلَيْتَنِىyālaytanīO I wish
ٱتَّخَذْتُittakhadhtuI had taken
مَعَmaʿawith
ٱلرَّسُولِl-rasūlithe Messenger
سَبِيلًۭاsabīlana way
٢٧(27)
And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way.
Juz 19Page 362
يَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰyāwaylatāO woe to me
لَيْتَنِىlaytanīI wish
لَمْlamnot
أَتَّخِذْattakhidhI had taken
فُلَانًاfulānanthat one
خَلِيلًۭاkhalīlan(as) a friend
٢٨(28)
Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend.
Juz 19Page 362
لَّقَدْlaqadVerily
أَضَلَّنِىaḍallanīhe led me astray
عَنِʿanifrom
ٱلذِّكْرِl-dhik'rithe Reminder
بَعْدَbaʿdaafter
إِذْidh[when]
جَآءَنِى ۗjāanīit (had) come to me
وَكَانَwakānaAnd is
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُl-shayṭānuthe Shaitaan
لِلْإِنسَـٰنِlil'insānito the man
خَذُولًۭاkhadhūlana deserter
٢٩(29)
He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter."
Juz 19Page 362
وَقَالَwaqālaAnd said
ٱلرَّسُولُl-rasūluthe Messenger
يَـٰرَبِّyārabbiO my Lord
إِنَّinnaIndeed
قَوْمِىqawmīmy people
ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ittakhadhūtook
هَـٰذَاhādhāthis
ٱلْقُرْءَانَl-qur'ānathe Quran
مَهْجُورًۭاmahjūran(as) a forsaken thing
٣٠(30)
And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur’ān as [a thing] abandoned."
Juz 19Page 362
وَكَذَٰلِكَwakadhālikaAnd thus
جَعَلْنَاjaʿalnāWe have made
لِكُلِّlikullifor every
نَبِىٍّnabiyyinProphet
عَدُوًّۭاʿaduwwanan enemy
مِّنَminaamong
ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗl-muj'rimīnathe criminals
وَكَفَىٰwakafāBut sufficient is
بِرَبِّكَbirabbikayour Lord
هَادِيًۭاhādiyan(as) a Guide
وَنَصِيرًۭاwanaṣīranand a Helper
٣١(31)
And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper.
Juz 19Page 362
وَقَالَwaqālaAnd said
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
كَفَرُوا۟kafarūdisbelieve
لَوْلَاlawlāWhy not
نُزِّلَnuzzilawas revealed
عَلَيْهِʿalayhito him
ٱلْقُرْءَانُl-qur'ānuthe Quran
جُمْلَةًۭjum'latanall at once
وَٰحِدَةًۭ ۚwāḥidatanall at once
كَذَٰلِكَkadhālikaThus
لِنُثَبِّتَlinuthabbitathat We may strengthen
بِهِۦbihithereby
فُؤَادَكَ ۖfuādakayour heart
وَرَتَّلْنَـٰهُwarattalnāhuand We have recited it
تَرْتِيلًۭاtartīlan(with distinct) recitation
٣٢(32)
And those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur’ān not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly.
Juz 19Page 362
وَلَاwalāAnd not
يَأْتُونَكَyatūnakathey come to you
بِمَثَلٍbimathalinwith an example
إِلَّاillābut
جِئْنَـٰكَji'nākaWe bring you
بِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqithe truth
وَأَحْسَنَwa-aḥsanaand (the) best
تَفْسِيرًاtafsīranexplanation
٣٣(33)
And they do not come to you with an example [i.e., argument] except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation.
Juz 19Page 363
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaThose who
يُحْشَرُونَyuḥ'sharūnawill be gathered
عَلَىٰʿalāon
وُجُوهِهِمْwujūhihimtheir faces
إِلَىٰilāto
جَهَنَّمَjahannamaHell
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikathose
شَرٌّۭsharrun(are the) worst
مَّكَانًۭاmakānan(in) position
وَأَضَلُّwa-aḍalluand most astray
سَبِيلًۭاsabīlan(from the) way
٣٤(34)
The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way.
Juz 19Page 363
وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd verily
ءَاتَيْنَاātaynāWe gave
مُوسَىmūsāMusa
ٱلْكِتَـٰبَl-kitābathe Scripture
وَجَعَلْنَاwajaʿalnāand We appointed
مَعَهُۥٓmaʿahuwith him
أَخَاهُakhāhuhis brother
هَـٰرُونَhārūnaHarun
وَزِيرًۭاwazīran(as) an assistant
٣٥(35)
And We had certainly given Moses the Scripture and appointed with him his brother Aaron as an assistant.

فَقُلْنَاfaqul'nāThen We said
ٱذْهَبَآidh'habāGo both of you
إِلَىilāto
ٱلْقَوْمِl-qawmithe people
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
كَذَّبُوا۟kadhabūhave denied
بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاbiāyātināOur Signs
فَدَمَّرْنَـٰهُمْfadammarnāhumThen We destroyed them
تَدْمِيرًۭاtadmīran(with) destruction
٣٦(36)
And We said, "Go both of you to the people who have denied Our signs." Then We destroyed them with [complete] destruction.
Juz 19Page 363
وَقَوْمَwaqawmaAnd (the) people
نُوحٍۢnūḥin(of) Nuh
لَّمَّاlammāwhen
كَذَّبُوا۟kadhabūthey denied
ٱلرُّسُلَl-rusulathe Messengers
أَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْaghraqnāhumWe drowned them
وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْwajaʿalnāhumand We made them
لِلنَّاسِlilnnāsifor mankind
ءَايَةًۭ ۖāyatana sign
وَأَعْتَدْنَاwa-aʿtadnāAnd We have prepared
لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَlilẓẓālimīnafor the wrongdoers
عَذَابًاʿadhābana punishment
أَلِيمًۭاalīmanpainful
٣٧(37)
And the people of Noah - when they denied the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them for mankind a sign. And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment.

وَعَادًۭاwaʿādanAnd Ad
وَثَمُودَا۟wathamūdāand Thamud
وَأَصْحَـٰبَwa-aṣḥābaand (the) dwellers
ٱلرَّسِّl-rasi(of) Ar-rass
وَقُرُونًۢاwaqurūnanand generations
بَيْنَbaynabetween
ذَٰلِكَdhālikathat
كَثِيرًۭاkathīranmany
٣٨(38)
And [We destroyed] ʿAad and Thamūd and the companions of the well and many generations between them.

وَكُلًّۭاwakullanAnd each
ضَرَبْنَاḍarabnāWe have set forth
لَهُlahufor him
ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ ۖl-amthālathe examples
وَكُلًّۭاwakullanand each
تَبَّرْنَاtabbarnāWe destroyed
تَتْبِيرًۭاtatbīran(with) destruction
٣٩(39)
And for each We presented examples [as warnings], and each We destroyed with [total] destruction.
Juz 19Page 363
وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd verily
أَتَوْا۟atawthey have come
عَلَىʿalāupon
ٱلْقَرْيَةِl-qaryatithe town
ٱلَّتِىٓallatīwhich
أُمْطِرَتْum'ṭiratwas showered
مَطَرَmaṭara(with) a rain
ٱلسَّوْءِ ۚl-sawi(of) evil
أَفَلَمْafalamThen do not
يَكُونُوا۟yakūnūthey [were]
يَرَوْنَهَا ۚyarawnahāsee it
بَلْbalNay
كَانُوا۟kānūthey are
لَاlānot
يَرْجُونَyarjūnaexpecting
نُشُورًۭاnushūranResurrection
٤٠(40)
And they have already come upon the town which was showered with a rain of evil [i.e., stones]. So have they not seen it? But they are not expecting resurrection.
Juz 19Page 363
وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd when
رَأَوْكَra-awkathey see you
إِنinnot
يَتَّخِذُونَكَyattakhidhūnakathey take you
إِلَّاillāexcept
هُزُوًاhuzuwan(in) mockery
أَهَـٰذَاahādhāIs this
ٱلَّذِىalladhīthe one whom
بَعَثَbaʿathaAllah has sent
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah has sent
رَسُولًاrasūlan(as) a Messenger
٤١(41)
And when they see you, [O Muḥammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one whom Allāh has sent as a messenger?
Juz 19Page 363
إِنinHe would have almost
كَادَkādaHe would have almost
لَيُضِلُّنَاlayuḍillunā[surely] misled us
عَنْʿanfrom
ءَالِهَتِنَاālihatināour gods
لَوْلَآlawlāif not
أَنanthat
صَبَرْنَاṣabarnāwe had been steadfast
عَلَيْهَا ۚʿalayhāto them
وَسَوْفَwasawfaAnd soon
يَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnawill know
حِينَḥīnawhen
يَرَوْنَyarawnathey will see
ٱلْعَذَابَl-ʿadhābathe punishment
مَنْmanwho
أَضَلُّaḍallu(is) more astray
سَبِيلًاsabīlan(from the) way
٤٢(42)
He almost would have misled us from our gods had we not been steadfast in [worship of] them." But they are going to know, when they see the punishment, who is farthest astray in [his] way.

أَرَءَيْتَara-aytaHave you seen
مَنِmani(one) who
ٱتَّخَذَittakhadhatakes
إِلَـٰهَهُۥilāhahu(as) his god
هَوَىٰهُhawāhuhis own desire
أَفَأَنتَafa-antaThen would you
تَكُونُtakūnube
عَلَيْهِʿalayhiover him
وَكِيلًاwakīlana guardian
٤٣(43)
Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him?

أَمْamOr
تَحْسَبُtaḥsabudo you think
أَنَّannathat
أَكْثَرَهُمْaktharahummost of them
يَسْمَعُونَyasmaʿūnahear
أَوْawor
يَعْقِلُونَ ۚyaʿqilūnaunderstand
إِنْinNot
هُمْhumthey
إِلَّاillā(are) except
كَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ ۖkal-anʿāmilike cattle
بَلْbalNay
هُمْhumthey
أَضَلُّaḍallu(are) more astray
سَبِيلًاsabīlan(from the) way
٤٤(44)
Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like livestock. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way.
Juz 19Page 364
أَلَمْalamDo you not
تَرَtarasee
إِلَىٰilā[to]
رَبِّكَrabbikayour Lord
كَيْفَkayfahow
مَدَّmaddaHe extends
ٱلظِّلَّl-ẓilathe shadow
وَلَوْwalawAnd if
شَآءَshāaHe willed
لَجَعَلَهُۥlajaʿalahusurely He (could) have made it
سَاكِنًۭاsākinanstationary
ثُمَّthummaThen
جَعَلْنَاjaʿalnāWe made
ٱلشَّمْسَl-shamsathe sun
عَلَيْهِʿalayhifor it
دَلِيلًۭاdalīlanan indication
٤٥(45)
Have you not considered your Lord - how He extends the shadow, and if He willed, He could have made it stationary? Then We made the sun for it an indication.

ثُمَّthummaThen
قَبَضْنَـٰهُqabaḍnāhuWe withdraw it
إِلَيْنَاilaynāto Us
قَبْضًۭاqabḍana withdrawal
يَسِيرًۭاyasīrangradual
٤٦(46)
Then We [retract and] hold it with Us for a brief grasp.
Juz 19Page 364
وَهُوَwahuwaAnd He
ٱلَّذِىalladhī(is) the One Who
جَعَلَjaʿalamade
لَكُمُlakumufor you
ٱلَّيْلَal-laylathe night
لِبَاسًۭاlibāsan(as) a covering
وَٱلنَّوْمَwal-nawmaand the sleep
سُبَاتًۭاsubātana rest
وَجَعَلَwajaʿalaand made
ٱلنَّهَارَl-nahārathe day
نُشُورًۭاnushūrana resurrection
٤٧(47)
And it is He who has made the night for you as clothing and sleep [a means for] rest and has made the day a resurrection.

وَهُوَwahuwaAnd He
ٱلَّذِىٓalladhī(is) the One Who
أَرْسَلَarsalasends
ٱلرِّيَـٰحَl-riyāḥathe winds
بُشْرًۢاbush'ran(as) glad tidings
بَيْنَbaynabefore
يَدَىْyadaybefore
رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚraḥmatihiHis Mercy
وَأَنزَلْنَاwa-anzalnāand We send down
مِنَminafrom
ٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāithe sky
مَآءًۭmāanwater
طَهُورًۭاṭahūranpure
٤٨(48)
And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy [i.e., rainfall], and We send down from the sky pure water

لِّنُحْـِۧىَlinuḥ'yiyaThat We may give life
بِهِۦbihithereby
بَلْدَةًۭbaldatan(to) a land
مَّيْتًۭاmaytandead
وَنُسْقِيَهُۥwanus'qiyahuand We give drink
مِمَّاmimmāthereof
خَلَقْنَآkhalaqnā(to those) We created
أَنْعَـٰمًۭاanʿāmancattle
وَأَنَاسِىَّwa-anāsiyyaand men
كَثِيرًۭاkathīranmany
٤٩(49)
That We may bring to life thereby a dead land and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men.

وَلَقَدْwalaqadAnd verily
صَرَّفْنَـٰهُṣarrafnāhuWe have distributed it
بَيْنَهُمْbaynahumamong them
لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟liyadhakkarūthat they may remember
فَأَبَىٰٓfa-abābut refuse
أَكْثَرُaktharumost
ٱلنَّاسِl-nāsi(of) the people
إِلَّاillāexcept
كُفُورًۭاkufūrandisbelief
٥٠(50)
And We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief.
Juz 19Page 364
وَلَوْwalawAnd if
شِئْنَاshi'nāWe willed
لَبَعَثْنَاlabaʿathnāsurely, We (would) have raised
فِىfīin
كُلِّkullievery
قَرْيَةٍۢqaryatintown
نَّذِيرًۭاnadhīrana warner
٥١(51)
And if We had willed, We could have sent into every city a warner.
Juz 19Page 364
فَلَاfalāSo (do) not
تُطِعِtuṭiʿiobey
ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَl-kāfirīnathe disbelievers
وَجَـٰهِدْهُمwajāhid'humand strive (against) them
بِهِۦbihiwith it
جِهَادًۭاjihādana striving
كَبِيرًۭاkabīrangreat
٥٢(52)
So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with it [i.e., the Qur’ān] a great striving.
Juz 19Page 364
۞ وَهُوَwahuwaAnd He
ٱلَّذِىalladhī(is) the One Who
مَرَجَmaraja(has) released
ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِl-baḥraynithe two seas
هَـٰذَاhādhā[this] (one)
عَذْبٌۭʿadhbunpalatable
فُرَاتٌۭfurātunand sweet
وَهَـٰذَاwahādhāand [this] (one)
مِلْحٌmil'ḥunsalty
أُجَاجٌۭujājun(and) bitter
وَجَعَلَwajaʿalaand He has made
بَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumābetween them
بَرْزَخًۭاbarzakhana barrier
وَحِجْرًۭاwaḥij'ranand a partition
مَّحْجُورًۭاmaḥjūranforbidden
٥٣(53)
And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas [i.e., bodies of water], one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition.

وَهُوَwahuwaAnd He
ٱلَّذِىalladhī(is) the One Who
خَلَقَkhalaqahas created
مِنَminafrom
ٱلْمَآءِl-māithe water
بَشَرًۭاbasharanhuman being
فَجَعَلَهُۥfajaʿalahuand has made (for) him
نَسَبًۭاnasabanblood relationship
وَصِهْرًۭا ۗwaṣih'ranand marriage relationship
وَكَانَwakānaAnd is
رَبُّكَrabbukayour Lord
قَدِيرًۭاqadīranAll-Powerful
٥٤(54)
And it is He who has created from water [i.e., semen] a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation].
Juz 19Page 364
وَيَعْبُدُونَwayaʿbudūnaBut they worship
مِنminbesides Allah
دُونِdūnibesides Allah
ٱللَّهِl-lahibesides Allah
مَاmāwhat
لَاlānot profits them
يَنفَعُهُمْyanfaʿuhumnot profits them
وَلَاwalāand not
يَضُرُّهُمْ ۗyaḍurruhumharms them
وَكَانَwakānaand is
ٱلْكَافِرُl-kāfiruthe disbeliever
عَلَىٰʿalāagainst
رَبِّهِۦrabbihihis Lord
ظَهِيرًۭاẓahīrana helper
٥٥(55)
But they worship rather than Allāh that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan].

وَمَآwamāAnd not
أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَarsalnākaWe sent you
إِلَّاillāexcept
مُبَشِّرًۭاmubashiran(as) a bearer of glad tidings
وَنَذِيرًۭاwanadhīranand a warner
٥٦(56)
And We have not sent you, [O Muḥammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner.

قُلْqulSay
مَآmāNot
أَسْـَٔلُكُمْasalukumI ask (of) you
عَلَيْهِʿalayhifor it
مِنْminany
أَجْرٍajrinpayment
إِلَّاillāexcept
مَنman(that) whoever wills
شَآءَshāa(that) whoever wills
أَنanto
يَتَّخِذَyattakhidhatake
إِلَىٰilāto
رَبِّهِۦrabbihihis Lord
سَبِيلًۭاsabīlana way
٥٧(57)
Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way."

وَتَوَكَّلْwatawakkalAnd put your trust
عَلَىʿalāin
ٱلْحَىِّl-ḥayithe Ever-Living
ٱلَّذِىalladhīthe One Who
لَاlādoes not die
يَمُوتُyamūtudoes not die
وَسَبِّحْwasabbiḥand glorify
بِحَمْدِهِۦ ۚbiḥamdihiwith His Praise
وَكَفَىٰwakafāAnd sufficient is
بِهِۦbihiHe
بِذُنُوبِbidhunūbiregarding the sins
عِبَادِهِۦʿibādihi(of) His slaves
خَبِيرًاkhabīranAll-Aware
٥٨(58)
And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [Allāh] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, [fully] Aware -
Juz 19Page 365
ٱلَّذِىalladhīThe One Who
خَلَقَkhalaqacreated
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضَwal-arḍaand the earth
وَمَاwamāand whatever
بَيْنَهُمَاbaynahumā(is) between them
فِىfīin
سِتَّةِsittatisix
أَيَّامٍۢayyāminperiods
ثُمَّthummathen
ٱسْتَوَىٰis'tawāHe established Himself
عَلَىʿalāover
ٱلْعَرْشِ ۚl-ʿarshithe Throne
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānuthe Most Gracious
فَسْـَٔلْfasalso ask
بِهِۦbihiHim
خَبِيرًۭاkhabīran(as He is) All-Aware
٥٩(59)
He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed [i.e., the Prophet (ﷺ)].

وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd when
قِيلَqīlait is said
لَهُمُlahumuto them
ٱسْجُدُوا۟us'judūProstrate
لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِlilrraḥmānito the Most Gracious
قَالُوا۟qālūThey say
وَمَاwamāAnd what
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānu(is) the Most Gracious
أَنَسْجُدُanasjuduShould we prostrate
لِمَاlimāto what
تَأْمُرُنَاtamurunāyou order us
وَزَادَهُمْwazādahumAnd it increases them
نُفُورًۭا ۩nufūran(in) aversion
٦٠(60)
And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion.
Juz 19Page 365Sajdah
تَبَارَكَtabārakaBlessed is He
ٱلَّذِىalladhīWho
جَعَلَjaʿalahas placed
فِىfīin
ٱلسَّمَآءِl-samāithe skies
بُرُوجًۭاburūjanconstellations
وَجَعَلَwajaʿalaand has placed
فِيهَاfīhātherein
سِرَٰجًۭاsirājana lamp
وَقَمَرًۭاwaqamaranand a moon
مُّنِيرًۭاmunīranshining
٦١(61)
Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon.

وَهُوَwahuwaAnd He
ٱلَّذِىalladhī(is) the One Who
جَعَلَjaʿalamade
ٱلَّيْلَal-laylathe night
وَٱلنَّهَارَwal-nahāraand the day
خِلْفَةًۭkhil'fatan(in) succession
لِّمَنْlimanfor whoever
أَرَادَarādadesires
أَنanto
يَذَّكَّرَyadhakkararemember
أَوْawor
أَرَادَarādadesires
شُكُورًۭاshukūranto be thankful
٦٢(62)
And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude.

وَعِبَادُwaʿibāduAnd (the) slaves
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāni(of) the Most Gracious
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna(are) those who
يَمْشُونَyamshūnawalk
عَلَىʿalāon
ٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earth
هَوْنًۭاhawnan(in) humbleness
وَإِذَاwa-idhāand when
خَاطَبَهُمُkhāṭabahumuaddress them
ٱلْجَـٰهِلُونَl-jāhilūnathe ignorant ones
قَالُوا۟qālūthey say
سَلَـٰمًۭاsalāmanPeace
٦٣(63)
And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace,
Juz 19Page 365
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those who
يَبِيتُونَyabītūnaspend (the) night
لِرَبِّهِمْlirabbihimbefore their Lord
سُجَّدًۭاsujjadanprostrating
وَقِيَـٰمًۭاwaqiyāmanand standing
٦٤(64)
And those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer]
Juz 19Page 365
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those who
يَقُولُونَyaqūlūnasay
رَبَّنَاrabbanāOur Lord
ٱصْرِفْiṣ'rifAvert
عَنَّاʿannāfrom us
عَذَابَʿadhābathe punishment
جَهَنَّمَ ۖjahannama(of) Hell
إِنَّinnaIndeed
عَذَابَهَاʿadhābahāits punishment
كَانَkānais
غَرَامًاgharāmaninseparable
٦٥(65)
And those who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering;

إِنَّهَاinnahāIndeed, it
سَآءَتْsāat(is) an evil
مُسْتَقَرًّۭاmus'taqarranabode
وَمُقَامًۭاwamuqāmanand resting place
٦٦(66)
Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence."
Juz 19Page 365
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those who
إِذَآidhāwhen
أَنفَقُوا۟anfaqūthey spend
لَمْlam(are) not extravagant
يُسْرِفُوا۟yus'rifū(are) not extravagant
وَلَمْwalamand are not stingy
يَقْتُرُوا۟yaqturūand are not stingy
وَكَانَwakānabut are
بَيْنَbaynabetween
ذَٰلِكَdhālikathat
قَوَامًۭاqawāmanmoderate
٦٧(67)
And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate

وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those who
لَاlā(do) not
يَدْعُونَyadʿūnainvoke
مَعَmaʿawith
ٱللَّهِl-lahiAllah
إِلَـٰهًاilāhangod
ءَاخَرَākharaanother
وَلَاwalāand (do) not
يَقْتُلُونَyaqtulūna[they] kill
ٱلنَّفْسَl-nafsathe soul
ٱلَّتِىallatīwhich
حَرَّمَḥarramaAllah has forbidden
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah has forbidden
إِلَّاillāexcept
بِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqiby right
وَلَاwalāand (do) not
يَزْنُونَ ۚyaznūnacommit unlawful sexual intercourse
وَمَنwamanAnd whoever
يَفْعَلْyafʿaldoes
ذَٰلِكَdhālikathat
يَلْقَyalqawill meet
أَثَامًۭاathāmana penalty
٦٨(68)
And those who do not invoke with Allāh another deity or kill the soul which Allāh has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty.
Juz 19Page 366
يُضَـٰعَفْyuḍāʿafWill be doubled
لَهُlahufor him
ٱلْعَذَابُl-ʿadhābuthe punishment
يَوْمَyawma(on the) Day
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِl-qiyāmati(of) Resurrection
وَيَخْلُدْwayakhludand he will abide forever
فِيهِۦfīhitherein
مُهَانًاmuhānanhumiliated
٦٩(69)
Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated -
Juz 19Page 366
إِلَّاillāExcept
مَنman(he) who
تَابَtābarepents
وَءَامَنَwaāmanaand believes
وَعَمِلَwaʿamilaand does
عَمَلًۭاʿamalanrighteous deeds
صَـٰلِحًۭاṣāliḥanrighteous deeds
فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَfa-ulāikathen (for) those
يُبَدِّلُyubaddiluAllah will replace
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah will replace
سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْsayyiātihimtheir evil deeds
حَسَنَـٰتٍۢ ۗḥasanātin(with) good ones
وَكَانَwakānaAnd is
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah
غَفُورًۭاghafūranOft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمًۭاraḥīmanMost Merciful
٧٠(70)
Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allāh will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allāh Forgiving and Merciful.
Juz 19Page 366
وَمَنwamanAnd whoever
تَابَtābarepents
وَعَمِلَwaʿamilaand does
صَـٰلِحًۭاṣāliḥanrighteous (deeds)
فَإِنَّهُۥfa-innahuthen indeed, he
يَتُوبُyatūbuturns
إِلَىilāto
ٱللَّهِl-lahiAllah
مَتَابًۭاmatāban(with) repentance
٧١(71)
And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allāh with [accepted] repentance.
Juz 19Page 366
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those who
لَاlā(do) not
يَشْهَدُونَyashhadūnabear witness
ٱلزُّورَl-zūra(to) the falsehood
وَإِذَاwa-idhāand when
مَرُّوا۟marrūthey pass
بِٱللَّغْوِbil-laghwiby futility
مَرُّوا۟marrūthey pass
كِرَامًۭاkirāman(as) dignified ones
٧٢(72)
And [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity.
Juz 19Page 366
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those who
إِذَاidhāwhen
ذُكِّرُوا۟dhukkirūthey are reminded
بِـَٔايَـٰتِbiāyātiof (the) Verses
رَبِّهِمْrabbihim(of) their Lord
لَمْlam(do) not
يَخِرُّوا۟yakhirrūfall
عَلَيْهَاʿalayhāupon them
صُمًّۭاṣummandeaf
وَعُمْيَانًۭاwaʿum'yānanand blind
٧٣(73)
And those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind.

وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those who
يَقُولُونَyaqūlūnasay
رَبَّنَاrabbanāOur Lord
هَبْhabGrant
لَنَاlanāto us
مِنْminfrom
أَزْوَٰجِنَاazwājināour spouses
وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَاwadhurriyyātināand our offspring
قُرَّةَqurratacomfort
أَعْيُنٍۢaʿyunin(to) our eyes
وَٱجْعَلْنَاwa-ij'ʿalnāand make us
لِلْمُتَّقِينَlil'muttaqīnafor the righteous
إِمَامًاimāmana leader
٧٤(74)
And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us a leader [i.e., example] for the righteous."

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikaThose
يُجْزَوْنَyuj'zawnawill be awarded
ٱلْغُرْفَةَl-ghur'fatathe Chamber
بِمَاbimābecause
صَبَرُوا۟ṣabarūthey were patient
وَيُلَقَّوْنَwayulaqqawnaand they will be met
فِيهَاfīhātherein
تَحِيَّةًۭtaḥiyyatan(with) greetings
وَسَلَـٰمًاwasalāmanand peace
٧٥(75)
Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace,

خَـٰلِدِينَkhālidīnaWill abide forever
فِيهَا ۚfīhāin it
حَسُنَتْḥasunatGood
مُسْتَقَرًّۭاmus'taqarran(is) the settlement
وَمُقَامًۭاwamuqāmanand a resting place
٧٦(76)
Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence.

قُلْqulSay
مَاmāNot
يَعْبَؤُا۟yaʿba-uwill care
بِكُمْbikumfor you
رَبِّىrabbīmy Lord
لَوْلَاlawlāif not
دُعَآؤُكُمْ ۖduʿāukumyour prayer (is to Him)
فَقَدْfaqadBut verily
كَذَّبْتُمْkadhabtumyou have denied
فَسَوْفَfasawfaso soon
يَكُونُyakūnuwill be
لِزَامًۢاlizāmanthe inevitable (punishment)
٧٧(77)
Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?" For you [disbelievers] have denied, so it [i.e., your denial] is going to be adherent.
