تَنزِيلُ
tanzīlu(The) revelation
ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ
l-kitābi(of) the Book
لَا
(there is) no
رَيْبَ
raybadoubt
فِيهِ
fīhiabout it
مِن
minfrom
رَّبِّ
rabbi(the) Lord
ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīna(of) the worlds
٢
(2)
[This is] the revelation of the Book about which there is no doubt from the Lord of the worlds.

أَمْ
amOr
يَقُولُونَ
yaqūlūna(do) they say
ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ ۚ
if'tarāhuHe invented it
بَلْ
balNay
هُوَ
huwait
ٱلْحَقُّ
l-ḥaqu(is) the truth
مِن
minfrom
رَّبِّكَ
rabbikayour Lord
لِتُنذِرَ
litundhirathat you may warn
قَوْمًۭا
qawmana people
مَّآ
not
أَتَىٰهُم
atāhumhas come to them
مِّن
minany
نَّذِيرٍۢ
nadhīrinwarner
مِّن
minbefore you
قَبْلِكَ
qablikabefore you
لَعَلَّهُمْ
laʿallahumso that they may
يَهْتَدُونَ
yahtadūnabe guided
٣
(3)
Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, [O Muḥammad], that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you [so] perhaps they will be guided.

ٱللَّهُ
al-lahuAllah
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī(is) the One Who
خَلَقَ
khalaqacreated
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwātithe heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
wal-arḍaand the earth
وَمَا
wamāand whatever
بَيْنَهُمَا
baynahumā(is) between them
فِى
in
سِتَّةِ
sittatisix
أَيَّامٍۢ
ayyāminperiods
ثُمَّ
thummaThen
ٱسْتَوَىٰ
is'tawāestablished Himself
عَلَى
ʿalāon
ٱلْعَرْشِ ۖ
l-ʿarshithe Throne
مَا
Not
لَكُم
lakumfor you
مِّن
minbesides Him
دُونِهِۦ
dūnihibesides Him
مِن
minany
وَلِىٍّۢ
waliyyinprotector
وَلَا
walāand not
شَفِيعٍ ۚ
shafīʿinany intercessor
أَفَلَا
afalāThen will not
تَتَذَكَّرُونَ
tatadhakkarūnayou take heed
٤
(4)
It is Allāh who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days; then He established Himself above the Throne. You have not besides Him any protector or any intercessor; so will you not be reminded?

يُدَبِّرُ
yudabbiruHe regulates
ٱلْأَمْرَ
l-amrathe affair
مِنَ
minaof
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
l-samāithe heaven
إِلَى
ilāto
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍithe earth
ثُمَّ
thummathen
يَعْرُجُ
yaʿrujuit will ascend
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhito Him
فِى
in
يَوْمٍۢ
yawmina Day
كَانَ
kāna(the) measure of which is
مِقْدَارُهُۥٓ
miq'dāruhu(the) measure of which is
أَلْفَ
alfaa thousand
سَنَةٍۢ
sanatinyears
مِّمَّا
mimmāof what
تَعُدُّونَ
taʿuddūnayou count
٥
(5)
He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count.

ذَٰلِكَ
dhālikaThat
عَـٰلِمُ
ʿālimu(is the) Knower
ٱلْغَيْبِ
l-ghaybi(of) the hidden
وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ
wal-shahādatiand the witnessed
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
l-ʿazīzuthe All-Mighty
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
l-raḥīmuthe Most Merciful
٦
(6)
That is the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,

ٱلَّذِىٓ
alladhīThe One Who
أَحْسَنَ
aḥsanamade good
كُلَّ
kullaevery
شَىْءٍ
shayinthing
خَلَقَهُۥ ۖ
khalaqahuHe created
وَبَدَأَ
wabada-aand He began
خَلْقَ
khalqa(the) creation
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنِ
l-insāni(of) man
مِن
minfrom
طِينٍۢ
ṭīninclay
٧
(7)
Who perfected everything which He created and began the creation of man from clay.

ثُمَّ
thummaThen
جَعَلَ
jaʿalaHe made
نَسْلَهُۥ
naslahuhis progeny
مِن
minfrom
سُلَـٰلَةٍۢ
sulālatinan extract
مِّن
minof
مَّآءٍۢ
māinwater
مَّهِينٍۢ
mahīnindespised
٨
(8)
Then He made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained.

ثُمَّ
thummaThen
سَوَّىٰهُ
sawwāhuHe fashioned him
وَنَفَخَ
wanafakhaand breathed
فِيهِ
fīhiinto him
مِن
minfrom
رُّوحِهِۦ ۖ
rūḥihiHis spirit
وَجَعَلَ
wajaʿalaand made
لَكُمُ
lakumufor you
ٱلسَّمْعَ
l-samʿathe hearing
وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرَ
wal-abṣāraand the sight
وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ ۚ
wal-afidataand feelings
قَلِيلًۭا
qalīlanlittle
مَّا
[what]
تَشْكُرُونَ
tashkurūnathanks you give
٩
(9)
Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul and made for you hearing and vision and hearts [i.e., intellect]; little are you grateful.

وَقَالُوٓا۟
waqālūAnd they say
أَءِذَا
a-idhāIs (it) when
ضَلَلْنَا
ḍalalnāwe are lost
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍithe earth
أَءِنَّا
a-innāwill we
لَفِى
lafīcertainly be in
خَلْقٍۢ
khalqina creation
جَدِيدٍۭ ۚ
jadīdinnew
بَلْ
balNay
هُم
humthey
بِلِقَآءِ
biliqāiin (the) meeting
رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihim(of) their Lord
كَـٰفِرُونَ
kāfirūna(are) disbelievers
١٠
(10)
And they say, "When we are lost [i.e., disintegrated] within the earth, will we indeed be [recreated] in a new creation?" Rather, they are, in the meeting with their Lord, disbelievers.

۞ قُلْ
qulSay
يَتَوَفَّىٰكُم
yatawaffākumWill take your soul
مَّلَكُ
malaku(the) Angel
ٱلْمَوْتِ
l-mawti(of) the death
ٱلَّذِى
alladhīthe one who
وُكِّلَ
wukkilahas been put in charge
بِكُمْ
bikumof you
ثُمَّ
thummaThen
إِلَىٰ
ilāto
رَبِّكُمْ
rabbikumyour Lord
تُرْجَعُونَ
tur'jaʿūnayou will be returned
١١
(11)
Say, "The angel of death who has been entrusted with you will take you. Then to your Lord you will be returned."

وَلَوْ
walawAnd if
تَرَىٰٓ
tarāyou (could) see
إِذِ
idhiwhen
ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
l-muj'rimūnathe criminals
نَاكِسُوا۟
nākisū(will) hang
رُءُوسِهِمْ
ruūsihimtheir heads
عِندَ
ʿindabefore
رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihimtheir Lord
رَبَّنَآ
rabbanāOur Lord
أَبْصَرْنَا
abṣarnāwe have seen
وَسَمِعْنَا
wasamiʿ'nāand we have heard
فَٱرْجِعْنَا
fa-ir'jiʿ'nāso return us
نَعْمَلْ
naʿmalwe will do
صَـٰلِحًا
ṣāliḥanrighteous (deeds)
إِنَّا
innāIndeed, we
مُوقِنُونَ
mūqinūna(are now) certain
١٢
(12)
If you could but see when the criminals are hanging their heads before their Lord, [saying], "Our Lord, we have seen and heard, so return us [to the world]; we will work righteousness. Indeed, we are [now] certain."

وَلَوْ
walawAnd if
شِئْنَا
shi'nāWe (had) willed
لَـَٔاتَيْنَا
laātaynāsurely We (would) have given
كُلَّ
kullaevery
نَفْسٍ
nafsinsoul
هُدَىٰهَا
hudāhāits guidance
وَلَـٰكِنْ
walākinbut
حَقَّ
ḥaqqa(is) true
ٱلْقَوْلُ
l-qawluthe Word
مِنِّى
minnīfrom Me
لَأَمْلَأَنَّ
la-amla-annathat I will surely fill
جَهَنَّمَ
jahannamaHell
مِنَ
minawith
ٱلْجِنَّةِ
l-jinatithe jinn
وَٱلنَّاسِ
wal-nāsiand the men
أَجْمَعِينَ
ajmaʿīnatogether
١٣
(13)
And if We had willed, We could have given every soul its guidance, but the word from Me will come into effect [that] "I will surely fill Hell with jinn and people all together.

فَذُوقُوا۟
fadhūqūSo taste
بِمَا
bimābecause
نَسِيتُمْ
nasītumyou forgot
لِقَآءَ
liqāa(the) meeting
يَوْمِكُمْ
yawmikum(of) this Day of yours
هَـٰذَآ
hādhā(of) this Day of yours
إِنَّا
innāIndeed, We
نَسِينَـٰكُمْ ۖ
nasīnākumhave forgotten you
وَذُوقُوا۟
wadhūqūAnd taste
عَذَابَ
ʿadhāba(the) punishment
ٱلْخُلْدِ
l-khul'di(of) eternity
بِمَا
bimāfor what
كُنتُمْ
kuntumyou used (to)
تَعْمَلُونَ
taʿmalūnado
١٤
(14)
So taste [punishment] because you forgot the meeting of this, your Day; indeed, We have [accordingly] forgotten you. And taste the punishment of eternity for what you used to do."

إِنَّمَا
innamāOnly
يُؤْمِنُ
yu'minubelieve
بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا
biāyātināin Our Verses
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīnathose who
إِذَا
idhāwhen
ذُكِّرُوا۟
dhukkirūthey are reminded
بِهَا
bihāof them
خَرُّوا۟
kharrūfall down
سُجَّدًۭا
sujjadanprostrating
وَسَبَّحُوا۟
wasabbaḥūand glorify
بِحَمْدِ
biḥamdi(the) praises
رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihim(of) their Lord
وَهُمْ
wahumand they
لَا
are not arrogant
يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ ۩
yastakbirūnaare not arrogant
١٥
(15)
Only those believe in Our verses who, when they are reminded by them, fall down in prostration and exalt [Allāh] with praise of their Lord, and they are not arrogant.

16
تَتَجَافَىٰ
tatajāfāForsake
جُنُوبُهُمْ
junūbuhumtheir sides
عَنِ
ʿanifrom
ٱلْمَضَاجِعِ
l-maḍājiʿi(their) beds
يَدْعُونَ
yadʿūnathey call
رَبَّهُمْ
rabbahumtheir Lord
خَوْفًۭا
khawfan(in) fear
وَطَمَعًۭا
waṭamaʿanand hope
وَمِمَّا
wamimmāand out of what
رَزَقْنَـٰهُمْ
razaqnāhumWe have provided them
يُنفِقُونَ
yunfiqūnathey spend
١٦
(16)
Their sides part [i.e., they arise] from [their] beds; they supplicate their Lord in fear and aspiration, and from what We have provided them, they spend.

فَلَا
falāAnd not
تَعْلَمُ
taʿlamuknows
نَفْسٌۭ
nafsuna soul
مَّآ
what
أُخْفِىَ
ukh'fiyais hidden
لَهُم
lahumfor them
مِّن
minof
قُرَّةِ
qurrati(the) comfort
أَعْيُنٍۢ
aʿyunin(for) the eyes
جَزَآءًۢ
jazāan(as) a reward
بِمَا
bimāfor what
كَانُوا۟
kānūthey used (to)
يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnado
١٧
(17)
And no soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for eyes [i.e., satisfaction] as reward for what they used to do.

أَفَمَن
afamanThen is one who
كَانَ
kānais
مُؤْمِنًۭا
mu'minana believer
كَمَن
kamanlike (him) who
كَانَ
kānais
فَاسِقًۭا ۚ
fāsiqandefiantly disobedient
لَّا
Not
يَسْتَوُۥنَ
yastawūnathey are equal
١٨
(18)
Then is one who was a believer like one who was defiantly disobedient? They are not equal.

أَمَّا
ammāAs for
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīnathose who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanūbelieve
وَعَمِلُوا۟
waʿamilūand do
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ
l-ṣāliḥātirighteous deeds
فَلَهُمْ
falahumthen for them
جَنَّـٰتُ
jannātu(are) Gardens
ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ
l-mawā(of) Refuge
نُزُلًۢا
nuzulan(as) hospitality
بِمَا
bimāfor what
كَانُوا۟
kānūthey used (to)
يَعْمَلُونَ
yaʿmalūnado
١٩
(19)
As for those who believed and did righteous deeds, for them will be the Gardens of Refuge as accommodation for what they used to do.

20
وَأَمَّا
wa-ammāBut as for
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīnathose who
فَسَقُوا۟
fasaqūare defiantly disobedient
فَمَأْوَىٰهُمُ
famawāhumuthen their refuge
ٱلنَّارُ ۖ
l-nāru(is) the Fire
كُلَّمَآ
kullamāEvery time
أَرَادُوٓا۟
arādūthey wish
أَن
anto
يَخْرُجُوا۟
yakhrujūcome out
مِنْهَآ
min'hāfrom it
أُعِيدُوا۟
uʿīdūthey (will) be returned
فِيهَا
fīhāin it
وَقِيلَ
waqīlaand it (will) be said
لَهُمْ
lahumto them
ذُوقُوا۟
dhūqūTaste
عَذَابَ
ʿadhāba(the) punishment
ٱلنَّارِ
l-nāri(of) the Fire
ٱلَّذِى
alladhīwhich
كُنتُم
kuntumyou used (to)
بِهِۦ
bihi[in it]
تُكَذِّبُونَ
tukadhibūnadeny
٢٠
(20)
But as for those who defiantly disobeyed, their refuge is the Fire. Every time they wish to emerge from it, they will be returned to it while it is said to them, "Taste the punishment of the Fire which you used to deny."

وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم
walanudhīqannahumAnd surely, We will let them taste
مِّنَ
minaof
ٱلْعَذَابِ
l-ʿadhābithe punishment
ٱلْأَدْنَىٰ
l-adnāthe nearer
دُونَ
dūnabefore
ٱلْعَذَابِ
l-ʿadhābithe punishment
ٱلْأَكْبَرِ
l-akbarithe greater
لَعَلَّهُمْ
laʿallahumso that they may
يَرْجِعُونَ
yarjiʿūnareturn
٢١
(21)
And We will surely let them taste the nearer punishment short of the greater punishment that perhaps they will return [i.e., repent].

وَمَنْ
wamanAnd who
أَظْلَمُ
aẓlamu(is) more unjust
مِمَّن
mimmanthan (he) who
ذُكِّرَ
dhukkirais reminded
بِـَٔايَـٰتِ
biāyātiof (the) Verses
رَبِّهِۦ
rabbihi(of) his Lord
ثُمَّ
thummathen
أَعْرَضَ
aʿraḍahe turns away
عَنْهَآ ۚ
ʿanhāfrom them
إِنَّا
innāIndeed, We
مِنَ
minafrom
ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ
l-muj'rimīnathe criminals
مُنتَقِمُونَ
muntaqimūna(will) take retribution
٢٢
(22)
And who is more unjust than one who is reminded of the verses of his Lord; then he turns away from them? Indeed We, from the criminals, will take retribution.

وَلَقَدْ
walaqadAnd certainly
ءَاتَيْنَا
ātaynāWe gave
مُوسَى
mūsāMusa
ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ
l-kitābathe Scripture
فَلَا
falāso (do) not
تَكُن
takunbe
فِى
in
مِرْيَةٍۢ
mir'yatindoubt
مِّن
minabout
لِّقَآئِهِۦ ۖ
liqāihireceiving it
وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ
wajaʿalnāhuAnd We made it
هُدًۭى
hudana guide
لِّبَنِىٓ
libanīfor the Children of Israel
إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
is'rāīlafor the Children of Israel
٢٣
(23)
And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture, so do not be in doubt over his meeting. And We made it [i.e., the Torah] guidance for the Children of Israel.

وَجَعَلْنَا
wajaʿalnāAnd We made
مِنْهُمْ
min'humfrom them
أَئِمَّةًۭ
a-immatanleaders
يَهْدُونَ
yahdūnaguiding
بِأَمْرِنَا
bi-amrināby Our Command
لَمَّا
lammāwhen
صَبَرُوا۟ ۖ
ṣabarūthey were patient
وَكَانُوا۟
wakānūand they were
بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا
biāyātināof Our Verses
يُوقِنُونَ
yūqinūnacertain
٢٤
(24)
And We made from among them leaders guiding by Our command when they were patient and [when] they were certain of Our signs.

إِنَّ
innaIndeed
رَبَّكَ
rabbakayour Lord
هُوَ
huwa[He]
يَفْصِلُ
yafṣiluwill judge
بَيْنَهُمْ
baynahumbetween them
يَوْمَ
yawma(on the) Day
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ
l-qiyāmati(of) Resurrection
فِيمَا
fīmāin what
كَانُوا۟
kānūthey used (to)
فِيهِ
fīhi[in it]
يَخْتَلِفُونَ
yakhtalifūnadiffer
٢٥
(25)
Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.

أَوَلَمْ
awalamDoes it not
يَهْدِ
yahdiguide
لَهُمْ
lahum[for] them
كَمْ
kam(that) how many
أَهْلَكْنَا
ahlaknāWe have destroyed
مِن
minbefore them
قَبْلِهِم
qablihimbefore them
مِّنَ
minaof
ٱلْقُرُونِ
l-qurūnithe generations
يَمْشُونَ
yamshūnathey walk about
فِى
in
مَسَـٰكِنِهِمْ ۚ
masākinihimtheir dwellings
إِنَّ
innaIndeed
فِى
in
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālikathat
لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ ۖ
laāyātinsurely, are Signs
أَفَلَا
afalāThen do not
يَسْمَعُونَ
yasmaʿūnathey hear
٢٦
(26)
Has it not become clear to them how many generations We destroyed before them, [as] they walk among their dwellings? Indeed in that are signs; then do they not hear?

أَوَلَمْ
awalamDo not
يَرَوْا۟
yarawthey see
أَنَّا
annāthat We
نَسُوقُ
nasūqudrive
ٱلْمَآءَ
l-māawater
إِلَى
ilāto
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍithe land
ٱلْجُرُزِ
l-juruzi[the] barren
فَنُخْرِجُ
fanukh'rijuthen We bring forth
بِهِۦ
bihithereby
زَرْعًۭا
zarʿancrops
تَأْكُلُ
takulueat
مِنْهُ
min'hufrom it
أَنْعَـٰمُهُمْ
anʿāmuhumtheir cattle
وَأَنفُسُهُمْ ۖ
wa-anfusuhumand they themselves
أَفَلَا
afalāThen do not
يُبْصِرُونَ
yub'ṣirūnathey see
٢٧
(27)
Have they not seen that We drive water [in clouds] to barren land and bring forth thereby crops from which their livestock eat and [they] themselves? Then do they not see?

وَيَقُولُونَ
wayaqūlūnaAnd they say
مَتَىٰ
matāWhen (will be)
هَـٰذَا
hādhāthis
ٱلْفَتْحُ
l-fatḥudecision
إِن
inif
كُنتُمْ
kuntumyou are
صَـٰدِقِينَ
ṣādiqīnatruthful
٢٨
(28)
And they say, "When will be this conquest, if you should be truthful?"

قُلْ
qulSay
يَوْمَ
yawma(On the) Day
ٱلْفَتْحِ
l-fatḥi(of) the Decision
لَا
not
يَنفَعُ
yanfaʿuwill benefit
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīnathose who
كَفَرُوٓا۟
kafarūdisbelieve
إِيمَـٰنُهُمْ
īmānuhumtheir belief
وَلَا
walāand not
هُمْ
humthey
يُنظَرُونَ
yunẓarūnawill be granted respite
٢٩
(29)
Say, [O Muḥammad], "On the Day of Conquest the belief of those who had disbelieved will not benefit them, nor will they be reprieved."

فَأَعْرِضْ
fa-aʿriḍSo turn away
عَنْهُمْ
ʿanhumfrom them
وَٱنتَظِرْ
wa-intaẓirand wait
إِنَّهُم
innahumIndeed, they
مُّنتَظِرُونَ
muntaẓirūna(are) waiting
٣٠
(30)
So turn away from them and wait. Indeed, they are waiting.
