كَذَٰلِكَ
kadhālikaThus
يُوحِىٓ
yūḥīreveals
إِلَيْكَ
ilaykato you
وَإِلَى
wa-ilāand to
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīnathose
مِن
minbefore you
قَبْلِكَ
qablikabefore you
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahuAllah
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
l-ʿazīzuthe All-Mighty
ٱلْحَكِيمُ
l-ḥakīmuthe All-Wise
٣
(3)
Thus has He revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], and to those before you - Allāh, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

لَهُۥ
lahuTo Him
مَا
(belong) whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwātithe heavens
وَمَا
wamāand whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ
l-arḍithe earth
وَهُوَ
wahuwaand He
ٱلْعَلِىُّ
l-ʿaliyu(is) the Most High
ٱلْعَظِيمُ
l-ʿaẓīmuthe Most Great
٤
(4)
To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and He is the Most High, the Most Great.

تَكَادُ
takāduAlmost
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتُ
l-samāwātuthe heavens
يَتَفَطَّرْنَ
yatafaṭṭarnabreak up
مِن
minfrom
فَوْقِهِنَّ ۚ
fawqihinnaabove them
وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ
wal-malāikatuand the Angels
يُسَبِّحُونَ
yusabbiḥūnaglorify
بِحَمْدِ
biḥamdi(the) praise
رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihim(of) their Lord
وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
wayastaghfirūnaand ask for forgiveness
لِمَن
limanfor those
فِى
on
ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ
l-arḍithe earth
أَلَآ
alāUnquestionably
إِنَّ
innaindeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-lahaAllah
هُوَ
huwaHe
ٱلْغَفُورُ
l-ghafūru(is) the Oft-Forgiving
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
l-raḥīmuthe Most Merciful
٥
(5)
The heavens almost break from above them, and the angels exalt [Allāh] with praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on earth. Unquestionably, it is Allāh who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.

وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīnaAnd those who
ٱتَّخَذُوا۟
ittakhadhūtake
مِن
minbesides
دُونِهِۦٓ
dūnihibesides
أَوْلِيَآءَ
awliyāaprotectors
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahuAllah
حَفِيظٌ
ḥafīẓun(is) a Guardian
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhimover them
وَمَآ
wamāand not
أَنتَ
antayou
عَلَيْهِم
ʿalayhim(are) over them
بِوَكِيلٍۢ
biwakīlina manager
٦
(6)
And those who take as allies other than Him - Allāh is [yet] Guardian over them; and you, [O Muḥammad], are not over them a manager -

وَكَذَٰلِكَ
wakadhālikaAnd thus
أَوْحَيْنَآ
awḥaynāWe have revealed
إِلَيْكَ
ilaykato you
قُرْءَانًا
qur'ānana Quran
عَرَبِيًّۭا
ʿarabiyyan(in) Arabic
لِّتُنذِرَ
litundhirathat you may warn
أُمَّ
umma(the) mother
ٱلْقُرَىٰ
l-qurā(of) the towns
وَمَنْ
wamanand whoever
حَوْلَهَا
ḥawlahā(is) around it
وَتُنذِرَ
watundhiraand warn
يَوْمَ
yawma(of the) Day
ٱلْجَمْعِ
l-jamʿi(of) Assembly
لَا
(there is) no
رَيْبَ
raybadoubt
فِيهِ ۚ
fīhiin it
فَرِيقٌۭ
farīqunA party
فِى
(will be) in
ٱلْجَنَّةِ
l-janatiParadise
وَفَرِيقٌۭ
wafarīqunand a party
فِى
in
ٱلسَّعِيرِ
l-saʿīrithe Blazing Fire
٧
(7)
And thus We have revealed to you an Arabic Qur’ān that you may warn the Mother of Cities [i.e., Makkah] and those around it and warn of the Day of Assembly, about which there is no doubt. A party will be in Paradise and a party in the Blaze.

وَلَوْ
walawAnd if
شَآءَ
shāaAllah willed
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahuAllah willed
لَجَعَلَهُمْ
lajaʿalahumHe could have made them
أُمَّةًۭ
ummatana community
وَٰحِدَةًۭ
wāḥidatanone
وَلَـٰكِن
walākinbut
يُدْخِلُ
yud'khiluHe admits
مَن
manwhom
يَشَآءُ
yashāuHe wills
فِى
in (to)
رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ
raḥmatihiHis Mercy
وَٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ
wal-ẓālimūnaAnd the wrongdoers
مَا
not
لَهُم
lahumfor them
مِّن
minany
وَلِىٍّۢ
waliyyinprotector
وَلَا
walāand not
نَصِيرٍ
naṣīrinany helper
٨
(8)
And if Allāh willed, He could have made them [of] one religion, but He admits whom He wills into His mercy. And the wrongdoers have not any protector or helper.

أَمِ
amiOr
ٱتَّخَذُوا۟
ittakhadhūhave they taken
مِن
minbesides Him
دُونِهِۦٓ
dūnihibesides Him
أَوْلِيَآءَ ۖ
awliyāaprotectors
فَٱللَّهُ
fal-lahuBut Allah
هُوَ
huwaHe
ٱلْوَلِىُّ
l-waliyu(is) the Protector
وَهُوَ
wahuwaand He
يُحْىِ
yuḥ'yīgives life
ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
l-mawtā(to) the dead
وَهُوَ
wahuwaAnd He
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā(is) on
كُلِّ
kullievery
شَىْءٍۢ
shayinthing
قَدِيرٌۭ
qadīrunAll-Powerful
٩
(9)
Or have they taken protectors [or allies] besides Him? But Allāh - He is the Protector, and He gives life to the dead, and He is over all things competent.

وَمَا
wamāAnd whatever
ٱخْتَلَفْتُمْ
ikh'talaftumyou differ
فِيهِ
fīhiin it
مِن
minof
شَىْءٍۢ
shayina thing
فَحُكْمُهُۥٓ
faḥuk'muhuthen its ruling
إِلَى
ilā(is) to
ٱللَّهِ ۚ
l-lahiAllah
ذَٰلِكُمُ
dhālikumuThat
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahu(is) Allah
رَبِّى
rabbīmy Lord
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhiupon Him
تَوَكَّلْتُ
tawakkaltuI put my trust
وَإِلَيْهِ
wa-ilayhiand to Him
أُنِيبُ
unībuI turn
١٠
(10)
And in anything over which you disagree - its ruling is [to be referred] to Allāh. [Say], "That is Allāh, my Lord; upon Him I have relied, and to Him I turn back."

فَاطِرُ
fāṭiru(The) Creator
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti(of) the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ
wal-arḍiand the earth
جَعَلَ
jaʿalaHe made
لَكُم
lakumfor you
مِّنْ
minfrom
أَنفُسِكُمْ
anfusikumyourselves
أَزْوَٰجًۭا
azwājanmates
وَمِنَ
waminaand among
ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ
l-anʿāmithe cattle
أَزْوَٰجًۭا ۖ
azwājanmates
يَذْرَؤُكُمْ
yadhra-ukumHe multiplies you
فِيهِ ۚ
fīhithereby
لَيْسَ
laysa(There) is not
كَمِثْلِهِۦ
kamith'lihilike Him
شَىْءٌۭ ۖ
shayonanything
وَهُوَ
wahuwaand He
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
l-samīʿu(is) the All-Hearer
ٱلْبَصِيرُ
l-baṣīruthe All-Seer
١١
(11)
[He is] Creator of the heavens and the earth. He has made for you from yourselves, mates, and among the cattle, mates; He multiplies you thereby. There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.

لَهُۥ
lahuTo Him (belongs)
مَقَالِيدُ
maqālīdu(the) keys
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti(of) the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ
wal-arḍiand the earth
يَبْسُطُ
yabsuṭuHe extends
ٱلرِّزْقَ
l-riz'qathe provision
لِمَن
limanfor whom
يَشَآءُ
yashāuHe wills
وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ
wayaqdiruand restricts
إِنَّهُۥ
innahuIndeed, He
بِكُلِّ
bikulliof every
شَىْءٍ
shayinthing
عَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmun(is) All-Knower
١٢
(12)
To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth. He extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]. Indeed He is, of all things, Knowing.

۞ شَرَعَ
sharaʿaHe has ordained
لَكُم
lakumfor you
مِّنَ
minaof
ٱلدِّينِ
l-dīnithe religion
مَا
what
وَصَّىٰ
waṣṣāHe enjoined
بِهِۦ
bihiupon
نُوحًۭا
nūḥanNuh
وَٱلَّذِىٓ
wa-alladhīand that which
أَوْحَيْنَآ
awḥaynāWe have revealed
إِلَيْكَ
ilaykato you
وَمَا
wamāand what
وَصَّيْنَا
waṣṣaynāWe enjoined
بِهِۦٓ
bihiupon
إِبْرَٰهِيمَ
ib'rāhīmaIbrahim
وَمُوسَىٰ
wamūsāand Musa
وَعِيسَىٰٓ ۖ
waʿīsāand Isa
أَنْ
anTo
أَقِيمُوا۟
aqīmūestablish
ٱلدِّينَ
l-dīnathe religion
وَلَا
walāand not
تَتَفَرَّقُوا۟
tatafarraqūbe divided
فِيهِ ۚ
fīhitherein
كَبُرَ
kaburaIs difficult
عَلَى
ʿalāon
ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
l-mush'rikīnathe polytheists
مَا
what
تَدْعُوهُمْ
tadʿūhumyou call them
إِلَيْهِ ۚ
ilayhito it
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahuAllah
يَجْتَبِىٓ
yajtabīchooses
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhifor Himself
مَن
manwhom
يَشَآءُ
yashāuHe wills
وَيَهْدِىٓ
wayahdīand guides
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhito Himself
مَن
manwhoever
يُنِيبُ
yunībuturns
١٣
(13)
He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Difficult for those who associate others with Allāh is that to which you invite them. Allāh chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him].

وَمَا
wamāAnd not
تَفَرَّقُوٓا۟
tafarraqūthey became divided
إِلَّا
illāuntil
مِنۢ
minafter
بَعْدِ
baʿdiafter
مَا
[what]
جَآءَهُمُ
jāahumucame to them
ٱلْعِلْمُ
l-ʿil'muthe knowledge
بَغْيًۢا
baghyan(out of) rivalry
بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ
baynahumamong them
وَلَوْلَا
walawlāAnd if not
كَلِمَةٌۭ
kalimatun(for) a word
سَبَقَتْ
sabaqat(that) preceded
مِن
minfrom
رَّبِّكَ
rabbikayour Lord
إِلَىٰٓ
ilāfor
أَجَلٍۢ
ajalina term
مُّسَمًّۭى
musammanspecified
لَّقُضِىَ
laquḍiyasurely, it (would have) been settled
بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ
baynahumbetween them
وَإِنَّ
wa-innaAnd indeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīnathose who
أُورِثُوا۟
ūrithūwere made to inherit
ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ
l-kitābathe Book
مِنۢ
minafter them
بَعْدِهِمْ
baʿdihimafter them
لَفِى
lafī(are) surely in
شَكٍّۢ
shakkindoubt
مِّنْهُ
min'huconcerning it
مُرِيبٍۢ
murībindisquieting
١٤
(14)
And they did not become divided until after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord [postponing the penalty] until a specified time, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed, those who were granted inheritance of the Scripture after them are, concerning it, in disquieting doubt.

فَلِذَٰلِكَ
falidhālikaSo to that
فَٱدْعُ ۖ
fa-ud'ʿuthen invite
وَٱسْتَقِمْ
wa-is'taqimand stand firm
كَمَآ
kamāas
أُمِرْتَ ۖ
umir'tayou are commanded
وَلَا
walāand (do) not
تَتَّبِعْ
tattabiʿfollow
أَهْوَآءَهُمْ ۖ
ahwāahumtheir desires
وَقُلْ
waqulbut say
ءَامَنتُ
āmantuI believe
بِمَآ
bimāin what
أَنزَلَ
anzalaAllah has sent down
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahuAllah has sent down
مِن
minof
كِتَـٰبٍۢ ۖ
kitābin(the) Book
وَأُمِرْتُ
wa-umir'tuand I am commanded
لِأَعْدِلَ
li-aʿdilathat I do justice
بَيْنَكُمُ ۖ
baynakumubetween you
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahuAllah
رَبُّنَا
rabbunā(is) our Lord
وَرَبُّكُمْ ۖ
warabbukumand your Lord
لَنَآ
lanāFor us
أَعْمَـٰلُنَا
aʿmālunāour deeds
وَلَكُمْ
walakumand for you
أَعْمَـٰلُكُمْ ۖ
aʿmālukumyour deeds
لَا
(There is) no
حُجَّةَ
ḥujjataargument
بَيْنَنَا
baynanābetween us
وَبَيْنَكُمُ ۖ
wabaynakumuand between you
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahuAllah
يَجْمَعُ
yajmaʿuwill assemble
بَيْنَنَا ۖ
baynanā[between] us
وَإِلَيْهِ
wa-ilayhiand to Him
ٱلْمَصِيرُ
l-maṣīru(is) the final return
١٥
(15)
So to that [religion of Allāh] invite, [O Muḥammad], and remain on a right course as you are commanded and do not follow their inclinations but say, "I have believed in what Allāh has revealed of scripture [i.e., the Qur’ān], and I have been commanded to do justice among you. Allāh is our Lord and your Lord. For us are our deeds, and for you your deeds. There is no [need for] argument between us and you. Allāh will bring us together, and to Him is the [final] destination."

وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīnaAnd those who
يُحَآجُّونَ
yuḥājjūnaargue
فِى
concerning
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahiAllah
مِنۢ
minafter
بَعْدِ
baʿdiafter
مَا
[what]
ٱسْتُجِيبَ
us'tujībaresponse has been made to Him
لَهُۥ
lahuresponse has been made to Him
حُجَّتُهُمْ
ḥujjatuhumtheir argument
دَاحِضَةٌ
dāḥiḍatun(is) invalid
عِندَ
ʿindawith
رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihimtheir Lord
وَعَلَيْهِمْ
waʿalayhimand upon them
غَضَبٌۭ
ghaḍabun(is) wrath
وَلَهُمْ
walahumand for them
عَذَابٌۭ
ʿadhābun(is) a punishment
شَدِيدٌ
shadīdunsevere
١٦
(16)
And those who argue concerning Allāh after He has been responded to - their argument is invalid with their Lord, and upon them is [His] wrath, and for them is a severe punishment.

ٱللَّهُ
al-lahuAllah
ٱلَّذِىٓ
alladhī(is) the One Who
أَنزَلَ
anzala(has) sent down
ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ
l-kitābathe Book
بِٱلْحَقِّ
bil-ḥaqiin truth
وَٱلْمِيزَانَ ۗ
wal-mīzānaand the Balance
وَمَا
wamāAnd what
يُدْرِيكَ
yud'rīkawill make you know
لَعَلَّ
laʿallaPerhaps
ٱلسَّاعَةَ
l-sāʿatathe Hour
قَرِيبٌۭ
qarībun(is) near
١٧
(17)
It is Allāh who has sent down the Book in truth and [also] the balance [i.e., justice]. And what will make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near.

يَسْتَعْجِلُ
yastaʿjiluSeek to hasten
بِهَا
bihā[of] it
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīnathose who
لَا
(do) not
يُؤْمِنُونَ
yu'minūnabelieve
بِهَا ۖ
bihāin it
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīnaand those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanūbelieve
مُشْفِقُونَ
mush'fiqūna(are) fearful
مِنْهَا
min'hāof it
وَيَعْلَمُونَ
wayaʿlamūnaand know
أَنَّهَا
annahāthat it
ٱلْحَقُّ ۗ
l-ḥaqu(is) the truth
أَلَآ
alāUnquestionably
إِنَّ
innaindeed
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīnathose who
يُمَارُونَ
yumārūnadispute
فِى
concerning
ٱلسَّاعَةِ
l-sāʿatithe Hour
لَفِى
lafī(are) certainly in
ضَلَـٰلٍۭ
ḍalālinerror
بَعِيدٍ
baʿīdinfar
١٨
(18)
Those who do not believe in it are impatient for it, but those who believe are fearful of it and know that it is the truth. Unquestionably, those who dispute concerning the Hour are in extreme error.

ٱللَّهُ
al-lahuAllah
لَطِيفٌۢ
laṭīfun(is) Subtle
بِعِبَادِهِۦ
biʿibādihiwith His slaves
يَرْزُقُ
yarzuquHe gives provision
مَن
man(to) whom
يَشَآءُ ۖ
yashāuHe wills
وَهُوَ
wahuwaAnd He
ٱلْقَوِىُّ
l-qawiyu(is) the All-Strong
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
l-ʿazīzuthe All-Mighty
١٩
(19)
Allāh is Subtle with His servants; He gives provision to whom He wills. And He is the Powerful, the Exalted in Might.

كَانَ

يُرِيدُ
yurīdudesiring
حَرْثَ
ḥartha(the) harvest
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
l-ākhirati(of) the Hereafter
نَزِدْ
nazidWe increase
لَهُۥ
lahufor him
فِى
in
حَرْثِهِۦ ۖ
ḥarthihihis harvest
وَمَن
wamanAnd whoever
كَانَ
kānais
يُرِيدُ
yurīdudesiring
حَرْثَ
ḥartha(the) harvest
ٱلدُّنْيَا
l-dun'yā(of) the world
نُؤْتِهِۦ
nu'tihiWe give him
مِنْهَا
min'hāof it
وَمَا
wamābut not
لَهُۥ
lahufor him
فِى
in
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ
l-ākhiratithe Hereafter
مِن
minany
نَّصِيبٍ
naṣībinshare
٢٠
(20)
Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter - We increase for him in his harvest [i.e., reward]. And whoever desires the harvest [i.e., benefits] of this world - We give him thereof, but there is not for him in the Hereafter any share.

أَمْ
amOr
لَهُمْ

شُرَكَـٰٓؤُا۟
shurakāu(are) partners
شَرَعُوا۟
sharaʿūwho have ordained
لَهُم
lahumfor them
مِّنَ
minaof
ٱلدِّينِ
l-dīnithe religion
مَا
what
لَمْ
lamnot
يَأْذَنۢ
yadhanAllah has given permission of it
بِهِ
bihiAllah has given permission of it
ٱللَّهُ ۚ
l-lahuAllah has given permission of it
وَلَوْلَا
walawlāAnd if not
كَلِمَةُ
kalimatu(for) a word
ٱلْفَصْلِ
l-faṣlidecisive
لَقُضِىَ
laquḍiyasurely, it (would have) been judged
بَيْنَهُمْ ۗ
baynahumbetween them
وَإِنَّ
wa-innaAnd indeed
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnathe wrongdoers
لَهُمْ
lahumfor them
عَذَابٌ
ʿadhābun(is a) punishment
أَلِيمٌۭ
alīmunpainful
٢١
(21)
Or have they partners [i.e., other deities] who have ordained for them a religion to which Allāh has not consented? But if not for the decisive word, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed, the wrongdoers will have a painful punishment.

تَرَى
tarāYou will see
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnathe wrongdoers
مُشْفِقِينَ
mush'fiqīnafearful
مِمَّا
mimmāof what
كَسَبُوا۟
kasabūthey earned
وَهُوَ
wahuwaand it
وَاقِعٌۢ
wāqiʿun(will) befall
بِهِمْ ۗ
bihim[on] them
وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīnaAnd those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanūbelieve
وَعَمِلُوا۟
waʿamilūand do
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ
l-ṣāliḥātirighteous deeds
فِى
(will be) in
رَوْضَاتِ
rawḍātiflowering meadows
ٱلْجَنَّاتِ ۖ
l-janāti(of) the Gardens
لَهُم
lahumfor them
مَّا
(is) whatever
يَشَآءُونَ
yashāūnathey wish
عِندَ
ʿindawith
رَبِّهِمْ ۚ
rabbihimtheir Lord
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālikaThat
هُوَ
huwait
ٱلْفَضْلُ
l-faḍlu(is) the Bounty
ٱلْكَبِيرُ
l-kabīruthe Great
٢٢
(22)
You will see the wrongdoers fearful of what they have earned, and it will [certainly] befall them. And those who have believed and done righteous deeds will be in lush regions of the gardens [in Paradise] having whatever they will in the presence of their Lord. That is what is the great bounty.

ذَٰلِكَ

ٱلَّذِى
alladhī(is of) which
يُبَشِّرُ
yubashiruAllah gives glad tidings
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahuAllah gives glad tidings
عِبَادَهُ
ʿibādahu(to) His slaves
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīnathose who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanūbelieve
وَعَمِلُوا۟
waʿamilūand do
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ ۗ
l-ṣāliḥātirighteous deeds
قُل
qulSay
لَّآ
Not
أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ
asalukumI ask you
عَلَيْهِ
ʿalayhifor it
أَجْرًا
ajranany payment
إِلَّا
illāexcept
ٱلْمَوَدَّةَ
l-mawadatathe love
فِى
among
ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ ۗ
l-qur'bāthe relatives
وَمَن
wamanAnd whoever
يَقْتَرِفْ
yaqtarifearns
حَسَنَةًۭ
ḥasanatanany good
نَّزِدْ
nazidWe increase
لَهُۥ
lahufor him
فِيهَا
fīhātherein
حُسْنًا ۚ
ḥus'nangood
إِنَّ
innaIndeed
ٱللَّهَ
l-lahaAllah
غَفُورٌۭ
ghafūrun(is) Oft-Forgiving
شَكُورٌ
shakūrunAll-Appreciative
٢٣
(23)
It is that of which Allāh gives good tidings to His servants who believe and do righteous deeds. Say, [O Muḥammad], "I do not ask you for it [i.e., this message] any payment [but] only good will through [i.e., due to] kinship." And whoever commits a good deed - We will increase for him good therein. Indeed, Allāh is Forgiving and Appreciative.

أَمْ
amOr
يَقُولُونَ
yaqūlūna(do) they say
ٱفْتَرَىٰ
if'tarāHe has invented
عَلَى
ʿalāabout
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahiAllah
كَذِبًۭا ۖ
kadhibana lie
فَإِن
fa-inBut if
يَشَإِ
yasha-iAllah willed
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahuAllah willed
يَخْتِمْ
yakhtimHe would seal
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā[over]
قَلْبِكَ ۗ
qalbikayour heart
وَيَمْحُ
wayamḥuAnd Allah eliminates
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahuAnd Allah eliminates
ٱلْبَـٰطِلَ
l-bāṭilathe falsehood
وَيُحِقُّ
wayuḥiqquand establishes
ٱلْحَقَّ
l-ḥaqathe truth
بِكَلِمَـٰتِهِۦٓ ۚ
bikalimātihiby His Words
إِنَّهُۥ
innahuIndeed, He
عَلِيمٌۢ
ʿalīmun(is) All-Knowing
بِذَاتِ
bidhātiof what
ٱلصُّدُورِ
l-ṣudūri(is in) the breasts
٢٤
(24)
Or do they say, "He has invented about Allāh a lie"? But if Allāh willed, He could seal over your heart. And Allāh eliminates falsehood and establishes the truth by His words. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.

وَهُوَ
wahuwaAnd He
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī(is) the One Who
يَقْبَلُ
yaqbaluaccepts
ٱلتَّوْبَةَ
l-tawbatathe repentance
عَنْ
ʿanof
عِبَادِهِۦ
ʿibādihiHis slaves
وَيَعْفُوا۟
wayaʿfūand pardons
عَنِ
ʿani[of]
ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ
l-sayiātithe evil
وَيَعْلَمُ
wayaʿlamuand He knows
مَا
what
تَفْعَلُونَ
tafʿalūnayou do
٢٥
(25)
And it is He who accepts repentance from His servants and pardons misdeeds, and He knows what you do.

وَيَسْتَجِيبُ
wayastajībuAnd He answers
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīnathose who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanūbelieve
وَعَمِلُوا۟
waʿamilūand do
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ
l-ṣāliḥātirighteous deeds
وَيَزِيدُهُم
wayazīduhumand increases (for) them
مِّن
minfrom
فَضْلِهِۦ ۚ
faḍlihiHis Bounty
وَٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ
wal-kāfirūnaAnd the disbelievers
لَهُمْ
lahumfor them
عَذَابٌۭ
ʿadhābun(will be) a punishment
شَدِيدٌۭ
shadīdunsevere
٢٦
(26)
And He answers [the supplication of] those who have believed and done righteous deeds and increases [for] them from His bounty. But the disbelievers will have a severe punishment.

۞ وَلَوْ
walawAnd if
بَسَطَ
basaṭaAllah extends
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahuAllah extends
ٱلرِّزْقَ
l-riz'qathe provision
لِعِبَادِهِۦ
liʿibādihifor His slaves
لَبَغَوْا۟
labaghawsurely they would rebel
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍithe earth
وَلَـٰكِن
walākinbut
يُنَزِّلُ
yunazziluHe sends down
بِقَدَرٍۢ
biqadarinin (due) measure
مَّا
what
يَشَآءُ ۚ
yashāuHe wills
إِنَّهُۥ
innahuIndeed, He
بِعِبَادِهِۦ
biʿibādihiof His slaves
خَبِيرٌۢ
khabīrun(is) All-Aware
بَصِيرٌۭ
baṣīrunAll-Seer
٢٧
(27)
And if Allāh had extended [excessively] provision for His servants, they would have committed tyranny throughout the earth. But He sends [it] down in an amount which He wills. Indeed He is, of His servants, Aware and Seeing.

وَهُوَ
wahuwaAnd He
ٱلَّذِى
alladhī(is) the One Who
يُنَزِّلُ
yunazzilusends down
ٱلْغَيْثَ
l-ghaythathe rain
مِنۢ
minafter
بَعْدِ
baʿdiafter
مَا
[what]
قَنَطُوا۟
qanaṭūthey have despaired
وَيَنشُرُ
wayanshuruand spreads
رَحْمَتَهُۥ ۚ
raḥmatahuHis mercy
وَهُوَ
wahuwaAnd He
ٱلْوَلِىُّ
l-waliyu(is) the Protector
ٱلْحَمِيدُ
l-ḥamīduthe Praiseworthy
٢٨
(28)
And it is He who sends down the rain after they had despaired and spreads His mercy. And He is the Protector, the Praiseworthy.

وَمِنْ
waminAnd among
ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ
āyātihiHis Signs
خَلْقُ
khalqu(is the) creation
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti(of) the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
wal-arḍiand the earth
وَمَا
wamāand whatever
بَثَّ
bathaHe has dispersed
فِيهِمَا
fīhimāin both of them
مِن
minof
دَآبَّةٍۢ ۚ
dābbatin(the) creatures
وَهُوَ
wahuwaAnd He
عَلَىٰ
ʿalā(is) over
جَمْعِهِمْ
jamʿihimtheir gathering
إِذَا
idhāwhen
يَشَآءُ
yashāuHe wills
قَدِيرٌۭ
qadīrunAll-Powerful
٢٩
(29)
And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and earth and what He has dispersed throughout them of creatures. And He, for gathering them when He wills, is competent.

وَمَآ
wamāAnd whatever
أَصَـٰبَكُم
aṣābakumbefalls you
مِّن
minof
مُّصِيبَةٍۢ
muṣībatin(the) misfortune
فَبِمَا
fabimā(is because) of what
كَسَبَتْ
kasabathave earned
أَيْدِيكُمْ
aydīkumyour hands
وَيَعْفُوا۟
wayaʿfūBut He pardons
عَن
ʿan[from]
كَثِيرٍۢ
kathīrinmuch
٣٠
(30)
And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much.

وَمَآ
wamāAnd not
أَنتُم
antumyou
بِمُعْجِزِينَ
bimuʿ'jizīna(can) escape
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ
l-arḍithe earth
وَمَا
wamāand not
لَكُم
lakumfor you
مِّن
minbesides
دُونِ
dūnibesides
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahiAllah
مِن
minany
وَلِىٍّۢ
waliyyinprotector
وَلَا
walāand not
نَصِيرٍۢ
naṣīrinany helper
٣١
(31)
And you will not cause failure [to Allāh] upon the earth. And you have not besides Allāh any protector or helper.

وَمِنْ
waminAnd among
ءَايَـٰتِهِ
āyātihiHis Signs
ٱلْجَوَارِ
l-jawāri(are) the ships
فِى
in
ٱلْبَحْرِ
l-baḥrithe sea
كَٱلْأَعْلَـٰمِ
kal-aʿlāmilike [the] mountains
٣٢
(32)
And of His signs are the ships in the sea, like mountains.

33
إِن
inIf
يَشَأْ
yashaHe wills
يُسْكِنِ
yus'kiniHe can cause the wind to become still
ٱلرِّيحَ
l-rīḥaHe can cause the wind to become still
فَيَظْلَلْنَ
fayaẓlalnathen they would remain
رَوَاكِدَ
rawākidamotionless
عَلَىٰ
ʿalāon
ظَهْرِهِۦٓ ۚ
ẓahrihiits back
إِنَّ
innaIndeed
فِى
in
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālikathat
لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ
laāyātinsurely (are) Signs
لِّكُلِّ
likullifor everyone
صَبَّارٍۢ
ṣabbārinpatient
شَكُورٍ
shakūrin(and) grateful
٣٣
(33)
If He willed, He could still the wind, and they would remain motionless on its surface. Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful.

أَوْ
awOr
يُوبِقْهُنَّ
yūbiq'hunnaHe could destroy them
بِمَا
bimāfor what
كَسَبُوا۟
kasabūthey have earned
وَيَعْفُ
wayaʿfubut He pardons
عَن
ʿan[from]
كَثِيرٍۢ
kathīrinmuch
٣٤
(34)
Or He could destroy them for what they earned; but He pardons much.

وَيَعْلَمَ
wayaʿlamaAnd may know
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīnathose who
يُجَـٰدِلُونَ
yujādilūnadispute
فِىٓ
concerning
ءَايَـٰتِنَا
āyātināOur Signs
مَا
(that) not
لَهُم
lahumfor them
مِّن
minany
مَّحِيصٍۢ
maḥīṣinplace of refuge
٣٥
(35)
And [that is so] those who dispute concerning Our signs may know that for them there is no place of escape.

36
فَمَآ
famāSo whatever
أُوتِيتُم
ūtītumyou are given
مِّن
minof
شَىْءٍۢ
shayina thing
فَمَتَـٰعُ
famatāʿu(is) but a passing enjoyment
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
l-ḥayati(for) the life
ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ
l-dun'yā(of) the world
وَمَا
wamāBut what
عِندَ
ʿinda(is) with
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahiAllah
خَيْرٌۭ
khayrun(is) better
وَأَبْقَىٰ
wa-abqāand more lasting
لِلَّذِينَ
lilladhīnafor those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
āmanūbelieve
وَعَلَىٰ
waʿalāand upon
رَبِّهِمْ
rabbihimtheir Lord
يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
yatawakkalūnaput (their) trust
٣٦
(36)
So whatever thing you have been given - it is but [for] enjoyment of the worldly life. But what is with Allāh is better and more lasting for those who have believed and upon their Lord rely

وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīnaAnd those who
يَجْتَنِبُونَ
yajtanibūnaavoid
كَبَـٰٓئِرَ
kabāira(the) greater
ٱلْإِثْمِ
l-ith'misins
وَٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ
wal-fawāḥishaand the immoralities
وَإِذَا
wa-idhāand when
مَا
and when
غَضِبُوا۟
ghaḍibūthey are angry
هُمْ
humthey
يَغْفِرُونَ
yaghfirūnaforgive
٣٧
(37)
And those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, and when they are angry, they forgive,

وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīnaAnd those who
ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟
is'tajābūrespond
لِرَبِّهِمْ
lirabbihimto their Lord
وَأَقَامُوا۟
wa-aqāmūand establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
l-ṣalataprayer
وَأَمْرُهُمْ
wa-amruhumand their affairs
شُورَىٰ
shūrā(are conducted by) consultation
بَيْنَهُمْ
baynahumamong them
وَمِمَّا
wamimmāand from what
رَزَقْنَـٰهُمْ
razaqnāhumWe have provided them
يُنفِقُونَ
yunfiqūnathey spend
٣٨
(38)
And those who have responded to their Lord and established prayer and whose affair is [determined by] consultation among themselves, and from what We have provided them, they spend,

وَٱلَّذِينَ
wa-alladhīnaAnd those who
إِذَآ
idhāwhen
أَصَابَهُمُ
aṣābahumustrikes them
ٱلْبَغْىُ
l-baghyutyranny
هُمْ
humthey
يَنتَصِرُونَ
yantaṣirūnadefend themselves
٣٩
(39)
And those who, when tyranny strikes them, they retaliate [in a just manner].

وَجَزَٰٓؤُا۟
wajazāu(The) recompense
سَيِّئَةٍۢ
sayyi-atin(of) an evil
سَيِّئَةٌۭ
sayyi-atun(is) an evil
مِّثْلُهَا ۖ
mith'luhālike it
فَمَنْ
famanBut whoever
عَفَا
ʿafāpardons
وَأَصْلَحَ
wa-aṣlaḥaand makes reconciliation
فَأَجْرُهُۥ
fa-ajruhuthen his reward
عَلَى
ʿalā(is) on
ٱللَّهِ ۚ
l-lahiAllah
إِنَّهُۥ
innahuIndeed, He
لَا
(does) not
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbulike
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnathe wrongdoers
٤٠
(40)
And the retribution for an evil act is an evil one like it, but whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is [due] from Allāh. Indeed, He does not like wrongdoers.

41
وَلَمَنِ
walamaniAnd surely whosoever
ٱنتَصَرَ
intaṣaradefends himself
بَعْدَ
baʿdaafter
ظُلْمِهِۦ
ẓul'mihihe has been wronged
فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
fa-ulāikathen those
مَا
not
عَلَيْهِم
ʿalayhim(is) against them
مِّن
minany
سَبِيلٍ
sabīlinway
٤١
(41)
And whoever retaliates after having been wronged - those have not upon them any cause [for blame].

42
إِنَّمَا
innamāOnly
ٱلسَّبِيلُ
l-sabīluthe way
عَلَى
ʿalāagainst
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīnathose who
يَظْلِمُونَ
yaẓlimūnaoppress
ٱلنَّاسَ
l-nāsathe people
وَيَبْغُونَ
wayabghūnaand rebel
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
l-arḍithe earth
بِغَيْرِ
bighayriwithout
ٱلْحَقِّ ۚ
l-ḥaqiright
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ
ulāikaThose
لَهُمْ
lahumfor them
عَذَابٌ
ʿadhābun(is) a punishment
أَلِيمٌۭ
alīmunpainful
٤٢
(42)
The cause is only against the ones who wrong the people and tyrannize upon the earth without right. Those will have a painful punishment.

وَلَمَن
walamanAnd whoever
صَبَرَ
ṣabara(is) patient
وَغَفَرَ
waghafaraand forgives
إِنَّ
innaindeed
ذَٰلِكَ
dhālikathat
لَمِنْ
lamin(is) surely of
عَزْمِ
ʿazmimatters of determination
ٱلْأُمُورِ
l-umūrimatters of determination
٤٣
(43)
And whoever is patient and forgives - indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of resolve.

وَمَن
wamanAnd whoever
يُضْلِلِ
yuḍ'liliAllah lets go astray
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahuAllah lets go astray
فَمَا
famāthen not
لَهُۥ
lahufor him
مِن
minany
وَلِىٍّۢ
waliyyinprotector
مِّنۢ
minafter Him
بَعْدِهِۦ ۗ
baʿdihiafter Him
وَتَرَى
watarāAnd you will see
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnathe wrongdoers
لَمَّا
lammāwhen
رَأَوُا۟
ra-awūthey see
ٱلْعَذَابَ
l-ʿadhābathe punishment
يَقُولُونَ
yaqūlūnasaying
هَلْ
halIs
إِلَىٰ
ilā(there) for
مَرَدٍّۢ
maraddinreturn
مِّن
minany
سَبِيلٍۢ
sabīlinway
٤٤
(44)
And he whom Allāh sends astray - for him there is no protector beyond Him. And you will see the wrongdoers, when they see the punishment, saying, "Is there for return [to the former world] any way?"

وَتَرَىٰهُمْ
watarāhumAnd you will see them
يُعْرَضُونَ
yuʿ'raḍūnabeing exposed
عَلَيْهَا
ʿalayhāto it
خَـٰشِعِينَ
khāshiʿīnahumbled
مِنَ
minaby
ٱلذُّلِّ
l-dhulidisgrace
يَنظُرُونَ
yanẓurūnalooking
مِن
minwith
طَرْفٍ
ṭarfina glance
خَفِىٍّۢ ۗ
khafiyyinstealthy
وَقَالَ
waqālaAnd will say
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīnathose who
ءَامَنُوٓا۟
āmanūbelieved
إِنَّ
innaIndeed
ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ
l-khāsirīnathe losers
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna(are) those who
خَسِرُوٓا۟
khasirūlost
أَنفُسَهُمْ
anfusahumthemselves
وَأَهْلِيهِمْ
wa-ahlīhimand their families
يَوْمَ
yawma(on the) Day
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۗ
l-qiyāmati(of) the Resurrection
أَلَآ
alāUnquestionably
إِنَّ
innaIndeed
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
l-ẓālimīnathe wrongdoers
فِى
(are) in
عَذَابٍۢ
ʿadhābina punishment
مُّقِيمٍۢ
muqīminlasting
٤٥
(45)
And you will see them being exposed to it [i.e., the Fire], humbled from humiliation, looking from [behind] a covert glance. And those who had believed will say, "Indeed, the [true] losers are the ones who lost themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, the wrongdoers are in an enduring punishment."

وَمَا
wamāAnd not
كَانَ
kānawill be
لَهُم
lahumfor them
مِّنْ
minany
أَوْلِيَآءَ
awliyāaprotector
يَنصُرُونَهُم
yanṣurūnahum(who) will help them
مِّن
minbesides
دُونِ
dūnibesides
ٱللَّهِ ۗ
l-lahiAllah
وَمَن
wamanAnd whom
يُضْلِلِ
yuḍ'liliAllah lets go astray
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahuAllah lets go astray
فَمَا
famāthen not
لَهُۥ
lahufor him
مِن
minany
سَبِيلٍ
sabīlinway
٤٦
(46)
And there will not be for them any allies to aid them other than Allāh. And whoever Allāh sends astray - for him there is no way.

ٱسْتَجِيبُوا۟
is'tajībūRespond
لِرَبِّكُم
lirabbikumto your Lord
مِّن
minbefore
قَبْلِ
qablibefore
أَن
an[that]
يَأْتِىَ
yatiyacomes
يَوْمٌۭ
yawmuna Day
لَّا
(there is) no
مَرَدَّ
maraddaaverting
لَهُۥ
lahufor it
مِنَ
minafrom
ٱللَّهِ ۚ
l-lahiAllah
مَا
Not
لَكُم
lakum(is) for you
مِّن
minany
مَّلْجَإٍۢ
malja-inrefuge
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ
yawma-idhin(on) that Day
وَمَا
wamāand not
لَكُم
lakumfor you
مِّن
minany
نَّكِيرٍۢ
nakīrindenial
٤٧
(47)
Respond to your Lord before a Day comes from Allāh of which there is no repelling. No refuge will you have that Day, nor for you will there be any denial.

فَإِنْ
fa-inThen if
أَعْرَضُوا۟
aʿraḍūthey turn away
فَمَآ
famāthen not
أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ
arsalnākaWe have sent you
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhimover them
حَفِيظًا ۖ
ḥafīẓan(as) a guardian
إِنْ
inNot
عَلَيْكَ
ʿalayka(is) on you
إِلَّا
illāexcept
ٱلْبَلَـٰغُ ۗ
l-balāghuthe conveyance
وَإِنَّآ
wa-innāAnd indeed
إِذَآ
idhāwhen
أَذَقْنَا
adhaqnāWe cause to taste
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
l-insāna[the] man
مِنَّا
minnāfrom Us
رَحْمَةًۭ
raḥmatanMercy
فَرِحَ
fariḥahe rejoices
بِهَا ۖ
bihāin it
وَإِن
wa-inBut if
تُصِبْهُمْ
tuṣib'humbefalls them
سَيِّئَةٌۢ
sayyi-atunevil
بِمَا
bimāfor what
قَدَّمَتْ
qaddamathave sent forth
أَيْدِيهِمْ
aydīhimtheir hands
فَإِنَّ
fa-innathen indeed
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ
l-insāna[the] man
كَفُورٌۭ
kafūrun(is) ungrateful
٤٨
(48)
But if they turn away - then We have not sent you, [O Muḥammad], over them as a guardian; upon you is only [the duty of] notification. And indeed, when We let man taste mercy from Us, he rejoices in it; but if evil afflicts him for what his hands have put forth, then indeed, man is ungrateful.

لِّلَّهِ
lillahiTo Allah
مُلْكُ
mul'ku(belongs the) dominion
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwāti(of) the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ
wal-arḍiand the earth
يَخْلُقُ
yakhluquHe creates
مَا
what
يَشَآءُ ۚ
yashāuHe wills
يَهَبُ
yahabuHe grants
لِمَن
limanto whom
يَشَآءُ
yashāuHe wills
إِنَـٰثًۭا
ināthanfemales
وَيَهَبُ
wayahabuand He grants
لِمَن
limanto whom
يَشَآءُ
yashāuHe wills
ٱلذُّكُورَ
l-dhukūra[the] males
٤٩
(49)
To Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He creates what He wills. He gives to whom He wills female [children], and He gives to whom He wills males.

أَوْ
awOr
يُزَوِّجُهُمْ
yuzawwijuhumHe grants them
ذُكْرَانًۭا
dhuk'rānanmales
وَإِنَـٰثًۭا ۖ
wa-ināthanand females
وَيَجْعَلُ
wayajʿaluand He makes
مَن
manwhom
يَشَآءُ
yashāuHe wills
عَقِيمًا ۚ
ʿaqīmanbarren
إِنَّهُۥ
innahuIndeed, He
عَلِيمٌۭ
ʿalīmun(is) All-Knower
قَدِيرٌۭ
qadīrunAll-Powerful
٥٠
(50)
Or He makes them [both] males and females, and He renders whom He wills barren. Indeed, He is Knowing and Competent.

۞ وَمَا
wamāAnd not
كَانَ
kānais
لِبَشَرٍ
libasharinfor any human
أَن
anthat
يُكَلِّمَهُ
yukallimahuAllah should speak to him
ٱللَّهُ
l-lahuAllah should speak to him
إِلَّا
illāexcept
وَحْيًا
waḥyan(by) revelation
أَوْ
awor
مِن
minfrom
وَرَآئِ
warāibehind
حِجَابٍ
ḥijābina veil
أَوْ
awor
يُرْسِلَ
yur'sila(by) sending
رَسُولًۭا
rasūlana messenger
فَيُوحِىَ
fayūḥiyathen he reveals
بِإِذْنِهِۦ
bi-idh'nihiby His permission
مَا
what
يَشَآءُ ۚ
yashāuHe wills
إِنَّهُۥ
innahuIndeed, He
عَلِىٌّ
ʿaliyyun(is) Most High
حَكِيمٌۭ
ḥakīmunMost Wise
٥١
(51)
And it is not for any human being that Allāh should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a partition or that He sends a messenger [i.e., angel] to reveal, by His permission, what He wills. Indeed, He is Most High and Wise.

وَكَذَٰلِكَ
wakadhālikaAnd thus
أَوْحَيْنَآ
awḥaynāWe have revealed
إِلَيْكَ
ilaykato you
رُوحًۭا
rūḥanan inspiration
مِّنْ
minby
أَمْرِنَا ۚ
amrināOur Command
مَا
Not
كُنتَ
kunta(did) you
تَدْرِى
tadrīknow
مَا
what
ٱلْكِتَـٰبُ
l-kitābuthe Book (is)
وَلَا
walāand not
ٱلْإِيمَـٰنُ
l-īmānuthe faith
وَلَـٰكِن
walākinBut
جَعَلْنَـٰهُ
jaʿalnāhuWe have made it
نُورًۭا
nūrana light
نَّهْدِى
nahdīWe guide
بِهِۦ
bihiwith it
مَن
manwhom
نَّشَآءُ
nashāuWe will
مِنْ
minof
عِبَادِنَا ۚ
ʿibādināOur slaves
وَإِنَّكَ
wa-innakaAnd indeed, you
لَتَهْدِىٓ
latahdīsurely guide
إِلَىٰ
ilāto
صِرَٰطٍۢ
ṣirāṭin(the) Path
مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
mus'taqīminStraight
٥٢
(52)
And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration of Our command [i.e., the Qur’ān]. You did not know what is the Book or [what is] faith, but We have made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, [O Muḥammad], you guide to a straight path -

صِرَٰطِ
ṣirāṭi(The) path
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi(of) Allah
ٱلَّذِى
alladhīthe One
لَهُۥ
lahuto Whom
مَا
(belongs) whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ
l-samāwātithe heavens
وَمَا
wamāand whatever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ
l-arḍithe earth
أَلَآ
alāUnquestionably
إِلَى
ilāTo
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahiAllah
تَصِيرُ
taṣīrureach
ٱلْأُمُورُ
l-umūruall affairs
٥٣
(53)
The path of Allāh, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Unquestionably, to Allāh do [all] matters evolve [i.e., return].
