بِسْمِ
bis'miIn (the) name
ٱللَّهِ
l-lahi(of) Allah
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ
l-raḥmānithe Most Gracious
ٱلرَّحِيمِ
l-raḥīmithe Most Merciful

(1)
In the name of Allāh, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

ٱلْحَمْدُ
al-ḥamduAll praises and thanks
لِلَّهِ
lillahi(be) to Allah
رَبِّ
rabbithe Lord
ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
l-ʿālamīnaof the universe

(2)
[All] praise is [due] to Allāh, Lord of the worlds -

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ
al-raḥmāniThe Most Gracious
ٱلرَّحِيمِ
l-raḥīmithe Most Merciful

The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,

مَـٰلِكِ
māliki(The) Master
يَوْمِ
yawmi(of the) Day
ٱلدِّينِ
l-dīni(of the) Judgment
٤
(4)
Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.

إِيَّاكَ
iyyākaYou Alone
نَعْبُدُ
naʿbuduwe worship
وَإِيَّاكَ
wa-iyyākaand You Alone
نَسْتَعِينُ
nastaʿīnuwe ask for help

It is You we worship and You we ask for help.

ٱهْدِنَا
ih'dināGuide us
ٱلصِّرَٰطَ
l-ṣirāṭa(to) the path
ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ
l-mus'taqīmathe straight
٦
(6)
Guide us to the straight path -

صِرَٰطَ
ṣirāṭa(The) path
ٱلَّذِينَ
alladhīna(of) those
أَنْعَمْتَ
anʿamtaYou have bestowed (Your) Favors
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhimon them
غَيْرِ
ghayrinot (of)
ٱلْمَغْضُوبِ
l-maghḍūbithose who earned (Your) wrath
عَلَيْهِمْ
ʿalayhimon themselves
وَلَا
walāand not
ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
l-ḍālīna(of) those who go astray
٧
(7)
The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have earned [Your] anger or of those who are astray.
