The Quran has 114 chapters — each one a complete transmission from Allah to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Whether you're reading for the first time or returning after years away, every surah offers something distinct: an argument, a story, a comfort, a command.
Some surahs have become inseparable from daily life. Al-Faatiha opens every unit of prayer — seven times a day for most Muslims. At 286 verses, Al-Baqara is the longest chapter, covering covenant, law, and loss with a directness that still surprises first-time readers. Yasin is recited at gatherings and in times of grief. On Fridays, many Muslims read Al-Kahf — four stories about wealth, knowledge, power, and time. And Ar-Rahman returns to one question throughout its verses: which of your Lord's favors will you deny?
Each surah includes audio recitation by Mishary Al-Afasy, word-by-word translations, and progress tracking so you always know where you left off.
If you're just starting, the shorter surahs near the end are a natural entry point. Al-Ikhlas is four verses on the oneness of God. Al-Falaq and An-Nas close the Quran with protective supplications — brief, essential, and worth knowing by heart.
